Julius Hodge fires shots at SJU/Big East

Not for nothing, but if he is inferring that Seton Hall got Whitehead because Williard hired his high school coach, isn't that something the NCAA should be looking into......(although that's pretty much assumed as this point, anyway)?

I think Memphis just did the same thing but this dad has like 2 or 3 highly ranked kids. More bang for your buck.
 
I know it was suggested that we all agree to end this thread; I would be disappointed if that were done. To me it is the liveliest, most thoughtful (thank you rabinowitz and others), informative and amusing stretch I have followed here in 10+ years!
Hodge is probably looking for a job and wants to secure his chances with a good 'get' so I really can't fault him for that. The fact that he lacks sportsmanship or is a gentleman really lays question to the 'fact' that he received a college degree.
On another subject, I would guess we all know that Louis Alcindor's dad left NYC with his son to assume a job on the superintendents staff in Westwood at UCLA. Kareem's decision might popularly be tied to Coach Lapchick's retirement but Dad's job might have played a role in the final choice. As Hillary said "what difference does it make". .......perhaps a string of NCAA championships.
