Both Justin Simon (Suns) and LJ Figueroa (Mavs) had good runs in their team's summer league's games; Justin had 10 pts, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 24 minutes, LJ had 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in 26 minutes. Lots of summer league basketball televised between now and early next week mostly on ESPN2 or NBA channel. Quickley and Toppin had big games for Knicks with McBride also looking good. I watched a little of Golden State game and Moody really looks good for them, Kuminga also very active 16 points.

It’s always great news to hear about Former Players and how they are doing in their after College BB Careers .  Justin and Figgy are trying to earn Roster spots on NBA Teams or , to use that performance to Pro Contracts in Europe or Elsewhere .  Good luck to them both .

Thank you DJ Kennedy for your time with us and with forever being a Johnny and a warrior. Best of luck throughout your future career and in life. You make us proud.

Friends because of Redmen.com for almost 20 years Ted and Lisa Raczok actually were the first ones to find out when Nathalie and I got engaged in Sonoma before our own families as we were vacationing together. Always fun to catch up as they were visiting New York this weekend

My philosophy in life  is always aim high then aim higher  :)

I’ll put a link on the all things Maher thread next week but Univision is either doing a special on her or interviewing her for a 9-11 special not sure yet. Jorge Ramos will be interviewing her

Baseball related...Does anyone remember Tommy La Stella (SF Giants) playing a year at St John's?

No recollection but here is an interesting article. I think he played on the Coastal Carolina team that won the National Championship

He played on the 2008 team.  If he stayed, he could have formed a keystone combination with Joe Panik  ((La Stella at 2nd and Panik at short) who was a freshman in the 2009 season.

I was way off on the year Coastal Carolina won the National Championship. It was 2016. My bad.
