To take over the mantle for Coach K. How many Chips does K have 5 ? Wouldn't shock me to see Jay beat it. Absolutely unbelievable coach

The great coaches ask their players to give them a lead going into the final media timeout. Then they take it from there. No excuses. Jay Wright closes with the best of them. Nova struck gold with Jay and have Rollie Massimino to thank for that.

Year in and year out, players come and go but Jay’s kids always play with discipline and purpose. Whether they are freshman, seniors, new or experienced, all are held to a high standard and excuses are never the norm.

And to think, this was supposed to be their “down” year. Next year with one 5 star and two 4 stars coming in was going to be tough for the conference.

And the emphasis he puts on free throw shooting just off the charts their shooting

Just a shame that Moore suffered what looks to be a pretty serious injury. Nova would have had a decent shot at beating Kansas, but not without Moore.

If Kansas does advance and they do beat Nova, they would have wins over 3 BE teams in this tournament.

yeah that looked pretty bad and while any injury sucks this time of the year it's soooo much worse for these kids

So what you are saying is Norm Roberts as an assistant will have had more victories over big east teams this tournament than he had as a Head Coach for us in his entire time here :)

Wait! Maybe Norm WAS the guy and we just didn't realize or appreciate it! ;-)

#myworstnightmare :)

If the situation was reversed and Jay Wright was here in the same situation he is in with his present Nova team, I can’t help but see several members of this Board complaining about the team’s lack of size, lack of depth (viable talent off the bench) and short bench (in terms of the number of players on it).

Of course we wish we were in their current situation.

Jay Wright wouldn't be the guy for us as he wins and is successful. CMA is the perfect coach for us to continue the tradition we have built over the last 22 years.
