JaKarr Sampson

The Bulls are in full tank mode so it makes sense to take a shot on these kids. Sampson went undrafted and signed as a free agent, so he ended up in an ideal situation. Might be best for the same thing to happen to Ponds so he can choose a team that fits.
Wasn't he also on the Sixers when they were in full tank mode? Apparently when you want to tank, your bring in a St. John's player.
I'm sure plenty would take that career.
Looks like Jakar and Arciadiacono spent a fair amount of time playing together against Knicks last night and both had good games. Doesn't mean much this time of year admittedly.
Lol. You and me and 3 other random posters could have a good game against the Knicks! Still, it was good to see Jakarr having a good game. He appears to have added some muscle to his frame.

From Chicago Trib, says it all:

The Bulls started Walt Lemon Jr., Shaquille Harrison, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Wayne Selden Jr. and Robin Lopez in their 113-105 loss to the Knicks.

The Knicks countered with Emmanuel Mudiay, Damyean Dotson, Kevin Knox, Luke Kornet and Mitchell Robinson.

Michael Jordan vs. Patrick Ewing, this was not.
Getting called up to play for a team actively tanking >>>> not playing in the nba
I don't think that was ever negated by anyone here. It will be interesting to see if these guys to latch on though. After JaKarrs trial run on the tanking Sixers, he never really stuck and has bounced around. Good to see him back.

Yes, just nice to see his name in an NBA box score and scoring 16 points or so to boot. Clear to all of us that these guys were not playing in a prime time NBA game.

On a brighter note:
Sampson tonight for the Bulls:
29 pts!
11-17 from the field
6-7 from the FT line (I looked it up; he's a pretty solid FT shooter in the G league, and not bad from 3pt line)
8 rebounds, 2 blocks.

Congrats to him.

Yup, wish him well. His game has improved immensely...must’ve been Mitch’s player-development skills.
Lol.
Very happy to see Jakarr doing well, not sure why we need to bring current coaches into it as it's totally unrelated.
Lighten up NCJohnnie.
Joking to lighten the mood.
Damn.

JaKarr with a career high 29 points and 8 rebounds in loss to 76ers.
Averaging 23 ppg since being called up.

So you're saying he's not in the running for MVP?

Hoiberg wouldn't have gotten fired if he could evaluate talent like Jakarr.
