Isaiah Whitehead, SG (Seton Hall verbal)

Not sure if true, but interesting

Jerry Meyer ‏@jerrymeyer247
The scoop 24ish hours ago was that St. John's would also have a job available for Tiny Morton w the blessing of Under Armour.

What does that even mean?

Whoever Jerry Meyer is, he is bean shooting with that. Don't believe a word of it.

@EvanDanielsFOX: I now have two sources saying Isaiah Whitehead will not be choosing St. John's.

@EvanDanielsFOX: One source on Isaiah Whitehead says: "100-percent not St. John's."

I am getting tired of this Daniels guy. Hopefully he can get a job covering Seton Hall. I really hope they move next year's Hall game to the Garden. It would be great to beat IW and Tiny in front of their friends and family. I also hope IW never makes it in the NBA.

A little harsh

SHU is dirty that is all this is showing.

I think SJU should keep sticking them (SHU) in Carnessecca arena for all of their games and not televise them.

A dirty recruit can stay home in my opinion, i dont need bullshit around this program that is in such a good uptick with a great coach and recruiter. I love Lavin and it is a great feeling to have a program to be proud of.

I start loving Lavin and being proud when we actually start winning

You must be from NY. Winning is key and I'm a sore loser. But Lavin brings much more to be proud of in our basketball program.

Remember, Memphis loved Calipari and winning until that went away and the sanctions hit.

Still have to win something eventually..Weve really lowered the bar if simply not beign a dirty recruiter as a coach is enough for a fanbase..

You don't post in months, but generally show up to mope. Rarely ever offering anything of value.

Nothing i said was wrong..Unless you guys love Lavin as a person so much that you think wins and losses shouldnt be apart of judging him last i heard though sports is a bottom line business

Im not saying fire Lavin immediately but eventually hes gonna have to win simply being a nice guy and not a dirty recruiter isnt enough

No, you leave Seton Hall at Carnesecca. Don't reward them with the Garden.

A little harsh

I have lived in Queens for more than 40 years and consider St. John's to be the boro's team, just like the Jets(even though they moved more than 30 years ago) and the Mets. I have suffered enough watching the Yankees and Giants always win. I don't like to get played by some punk's from Brooklyn.

I don't have Cablevision. So when I got to MSGVarsity it looks like I can't watch. Am I right? Must be a sign.

One of the moderators need to ban this David Cain clown. Totally here to fan flames

No im not im a passionate fan whos tired of losing..if different opinions arent allowed on this board and you just want a pollyana Lavins great everythings sunshine board then knock yourself out..

I actually have to agree and everyone says that about me.

I don't have Cablevision either and I'm glad I don't have to sit there and watch that go down.

So you are asking the mods to pull a" Louie Carnesseca" on David Cain ? :)

Seton Hall found a work around by adding Morton next year. They could not have signed Whitehead had Morton been on staff for this season. Because a coach cannot touch any of the players from his high school for two years. (Do I have that correct?)

I would have loved to have signed Whitehead but like others have said we will be ok. Lavin can recruit that is for sure.

Hey DJ nice golf outing last week! This recruiting is like if your Pops would have taken BMW over to the school on Myrtle Ave!! LOL

RM always great to play a round with you guys. Kind of like when Walter Berrry played with the Heart down at DeSales, its all who you know and what you can do for them.

Always a pleasure and for a great cause!

My tv is still broken from watching the 1st 2 giant games

meanwhile here at Redmen.com's Indianapolis bureau there are no signs of Tiny anywhere near Indianapolis International Airport. But a guy who looks Oliver is holding up the classified section of the paper.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have IW on the squad. However, it is certainly not the end of the world. I will never understand how people get mad when kids sign with other schools. It's their life, they have the option to do whatever they want, for whatever reason they find suitable. The whole recruiting scene is obviously shady and cut throat. Chalk it up to you win some and lose some. If SHU hires Tiny, then that's something they'll have to justify for having IW for 2 years, lets say. I'm sure if it made sense to Lavin, he would do the same. All the social media exposure is what makes this stuff a joke.

That last statement is ridiculous man, don't take it out on the kid if he doesn't end up playing for your college hoops team. He's a senior in highschool for goodness sake.

So, you don't think other fans on this board are also passionate? Does passionate means one has to be whiner and complainer at every turn?

Maybe, one should wait 'til the 2013-2014 season is over before they start complaining.

I've heard the line in bold several times before.

This is a recent post from Tiny himself. Chew on this.

@booksb4ball: You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.”
