Iowa St., Mon., Nov. 24, 4:30p, TruTV / 1050 AM

I'll go glass half-full. This team clearly is building chemistry still. Communication is lacking. There's instances where they don't know who to cover on a switch, guys running into each other on offense, and things just kinda stalling out.

But we're up 2 against Iowa State -- a very good team with senior leadership at key positions.

After the start we had and considering these might be the worst refs we see thus century I’m very happy yo be up 10. When we got that 5 second call you could see our defense ramping up a bit

Defense has been bad but it's really only been two things killing us on that end.

1) Hedging ball screens instead of switching is killing us. ISU is dicing us up in the short roll when its 4 on 3. Our hedging isn't aggressive enough to force turnovers nor would Lipsey turn it over in those anyway.

2) We don't know how to close out, especially Jackson. He got beat baseline by Heise and then twice by Momcilivic shot fakes and one dribble relocates.

I think we have to go back to switching and helping off the weakside when there's a mismatch

All things considered; pretty good first half. Hopefully this is sitll a 2nd half team and they come out firing after the break. Missed a couple of bunnies and Iowa hot form 3. Would like to see Ian step up in the 2nd half.

So early in the season, with so many new faces. They need to get Sellers the spot up 3. He should not be primary ballhandler. It is not his game.

Darling is too slow...it could be a defensive liability all year, but we don't have a true PG. Luckily the fastest PGs we will see all year will be pre conference.

If we get any kind of consistent 3 point shooting, Zuby and Bryce will have more room to showcase their talents
