Sorry to say but last year's team was wayy better at the same point in time a season ago. This team doesn't look ready for prime time yet. They look like a bunch of athletes who've never played together before besides Zuby who is just awesome and always shows out. Hopefully they end up gelling but it will take a few months at this point. I think conference play will do them wonders. I would play guys who want to adhere to the team concept more than watching this scattered playground style.
Last years team had two high quality point guards
 
have not been able to watch intently because, work, but:

Defense improved substantially after the mid-first half timeout. Intensity, athleticism, pressure, contest all upped visibly and that made the difference.

Our front court athleticism is the best thing we have going for us, and may well be all year.

Darling has been solid on the ball and clearly Pitino isn't comfortable with anyone else handling it. He tries defensively.

Jackson and Sanon do some good things but remain unready for primetime. Have time to get there over the course of the season, though.
