Wonder if anyone on the board knows Jack personally?

Jack was a member of the SJU baseball team, circa 1959 or so. I'd contact the athletic department but I don't think asking about Jack in Virginia would be very helpful.

If you narrowed it down to all the Jacks on that team, that would probably be a good start ;)

I didn’t scroll through every reply. But yes it is possible to test positive a second time. I recently had it luckily not that bad....a friend of mine who had it decided to get tested after their 14 day quarantine to reassure family she was clear for holidays. It came back positive and for some reason nyc made them go back into a week quarantine, city case worker asked why she would re test, also said that her second positive is a new case. Dr told her she would likely test positive for awhile after but not contagious. Good luck with surgery

What you describe is a well known medical fact at this point. Many people who tested positive for antibodies in the spring or early summer and who have re-tested recently have a found a significant reduction in antibodies to Covid. This of course raises the risk of reinfection.

Maybe this can be helpful. According to this website (see link below) the only Jack on the 1958/1959 St. John's team was Jack Durkin.

Think Beast meant the baseball team, but than k you Ghostzapper

Sorry about that Monte I misread the post.
FYI I could not find anything online about the 1959 St. John's Baseball team roster but did notice that Coach Carnesecca was an assistant baseball coach back in those days. Perhaps someone could reach out to the Coach and see if he has any useful information.

Is it possible that after the initial 14 days, he virus had not run its course. I know someone who still tested positive three weeks after the initial test.

Jack, we all hope and pray that the surgery went well and you are recovering nicely. Continued thoughts and prayers from all your friends on this site. We trust that you're not able to get on here but that you are okay. Godspeed along the way.
