Tomorrow I am having my second bladder surgery, was suppose to have this surgery 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I tested positive. I have stayed home for 14 days. without any symptoms. Is it possible to test positive again? I would appreciate any responses. Thank you.

Prayers for you. I don't know the answer.

Wishing you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery Jack. We are all pulling for you. (Unfortunately I can't answer your question).

Highly unlikely. Same happened to me before a surgery. Tested positive and three days later tested negative. Had to quarantine regardless. My advice would be to take an antibody test to confirm the positive tests.

Jack,
First off, good luck with the surgery.

Secondly, I'm almost pleased that you tested positive with very mild symptoms. Make a strong recovery and you should have antibodies protecting you until a vaccine becomes available.

It is possible to my knowledge that after 14 days you could still be positive, but less likely given your mild symptoms. Did they give you any medications such as remdesivir cocktail with antibodies that has shown to hasten recovery?

For any medical procedure, you have to be tested two or 3 days before. I had to before a routine colonoscopy. I am guessing they will wait to retest you for Covid a couple of days before surgery because it makes no sense to do otherwise due to presurgical protocols.

Good luck and prayers for a great outcome and speedy recovery. You are a great Alum, and my most reliable baseball expert on redmen.com.

Jack, I can't answer your question. But I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy and complete recovery. We're all like family on this forum and one of our family members is ill, we rally round him or her. We're with you, Jack.

Jack - Good luck with your upcoming surgery. As Tony mentioned earlier, we are all family here. Perhaps a little dysfunctional at times, but in the end, we will always support you.
As for your question, I’d suggest asking your doctor. All opinions here are given with the best of intentions, but you need professional advice on this.

Best of luck tomorrow Jack and g d be with you. Will be thinking of you tomorrow because as someone previously pointed out you are part of our family, and a great family member at that.
Please let us all know how it goes as soon as you are up to it. Wishing you a speedy painless recovery.
