I miss the old Redmen site

Otherwise I'd be open to a corporate sponsorship to minimize the ads or some random billionaire making redmen.com ad-free for the benefit of all our friends...
Maybe you should consider contacting organizations that would benefit Redmen.com forum participants. Sunsweet Prune Juice and Flex-a-min come to mind...

This is a great site. Started posting when I was just a kid and now I’m gonna be 22 in October. It’s just crazy to me how big a role this site played in my life especially during my adolescent years. When you’re a kid growing up right outside of Philly you don’t expect to be able to find people to talk St. John’s basketball with, unless it’s nova fans who wanna brag about how much they beat you.

The greatness of the internet. Nowadays I argue with my friends constantly about the nba in numerous group chats I have with both my college and high school friends.

Thanks to my years on this site sparring with tons of posters, these kids I debate with simply don’t stand a chance against me :)

Thanks Paul and mods for everything

:silly: :(

The beauty of this site isn’t just the back and forth. It’s the friendships you make legit friendships. I don’t know if either posted it but just last week RMN cane down from Canada and Met Beast and Beast was texting me that day what a wonderful guy RMN is which I already knew because I’ve met him several times. The layout of the site pales in comparison to the legit friendships we make although on my bucket list is still to head west and beer sample with Paul :)

Something I just realized tonight is how impressive the membership size of Redmen is. I just took this forum's lively activity for granted since I've been a member for as long as I've been a St. John's fan, however I believe this forum is more active than every other dedicated fan forum in the Big East, with the sole exception of UConn (Boneyard).

That has been achieved due to a good site experience and a lot of effort in modernizing the site. Redmen is something that most other college fans don't have. Other forums are lifeless and far less active. Stuff like "Thank You" features aren't in the others I've seen. Redmen is a site that feels suitable for 2019 while most college forums have UIs from the early 2000's. It shows in their membership numbers.

Also, regarding the ad remark- as someone who creates online videos for a living, it's impossible to run an online business without either A. ads or B. selling a product/membership. This site would have been shut down many years ago without them. Personally I much rather Redmen remain free.

This is evidence of Paul’s incredible adaptability, as some of us have documented proof that he is also available for tequila sampling.

I often imagine what Redmen.com would have been like during the Louie years.

And then I start writing some Redmen.com fan fiction like my prequel screenplay (similar to the Star Wars movies or the new Sopranos one) where the Maven and Tom in Simsbury are still best buds and before Goldenleaf and Lawmanfan went underground. It’s epic.

In the Gonzaga topic some alluded to Coach Few being too old at age 56 - Wow -
1. First of all many function well into their 80-90s such as my fellow alum coach K 70+ years old ( and many well under 56 don’t function well at all )
2.Next if 56 is old some of we posters here are ancient, hopelessly beyond ancient. Think Roman Empire :)
3.Finally thanks Jack Williams for your youthful perspective and I do suppose...
No matter one’s age, I enjoy and am grateful for
Redmen.com!
Blessings to all.

It made it soo confusing when everybody decided to switch handles. My request is that everybody go back to their old handles so I have a clue about who is who agin... I’ve Been mcnpa since aol dial-up. Rant over...lol
I switched my handle right before I went deeply undercover. Could not risk being my "ar" initials being exposed any longer.

Lol. Honestly still drives me crazy because it’s not just you that changed. Lots of people did. I used to associate the faces I met at games etc with the old names. Some how, I just never kept up with all the changes. Wasn’t there a poster “marbles” too? Was that you too AR?

I do not remember how the "marbles" handle appeared, since that was my password at the time. I am not quite the "Sybil" of redmen.com, since my posts never varied. They all remain consistently humorless, nonsensical, and non sequitors.

I used to be littlemin but I should not be hard to identify through a name change, I am still the same opinionated, argumentative, confrontational a**hole I always was. :p :p
yeah for the record it was me that connected the dots :)
That’s true, besides being a walking encyclopedia on all things food and beer everywhere, Sherlock Holmes has nothing on you!! :p ;) ;) ;) :p

After work? What is lunch time for?
in finance pretty much the only thing I’ll look at during market hours is redmen. No need to take chances for anything

I can't imagine a better site for keeping up to date on what is happening with our Redmen.

You miss Fun? You mean the guy who had an avatar of a serial killer and only set out to pick fights and get under people's skin (definition of a troll) instead of seriously talking SJ hoops? Fun saw this site as an opportunity to troll and demonstrate his "amazing" vocabulary. He was only here for the attention and wanted to set fires, then watch them burn. He has a blog of maybe 3 followers who think him posting a picture of me with Carrot Top's face is top shelf comedy. The guy seems like a nut to be honest, wonder how old he is...he really seems like he needs help and I'm not joking. I wish him well in that regard.
