Hoops Weiss — Red Storm already missing coach

 Unfortunately, we have been going backwards with our recruits,1 decommit after another,and nobody seems to count Jevon Thomas as a decommit. I would have felt better if Gathers and Pelle just waited untill spring, instead of decommiting. I am not saying Lavin can not turn it around, but the recruiting has been dissappointing lately. 

 

Jevon Thomas picked an A-10 school for a reason. They accept partial qualifiers. That should speak volumes. Same goes for another PG in Kareem Canty who could have gone to other BE schools. They know that eligibility might be an issue.

Gathers is waiting until the spring. If he didnt decommitt but didn't sign its the same thing. He would be a free agent regardless.

IMO there is a difference in Garrett,Woods and Gathers. The previous 2 you know will end up at SJU, the question is when. The latter you hope will end up at SJU. Of coarse if Lavin lands all 3 and 3 more,he will make good on his statement.

I really can't believe some of the posts here. The coach is diagnosed with cancer, coaches out the year to a phenomenal season, recruits better than anyone could expect his first year considering the timing of his hire, tries to come back early to coach his second year but has a setback and we are talking about disappointments? Give me a break. please!!!!
