Acknowledgement to Paultzman, whose picture of Custer in the Seton Hall thread triggered this question, what military honors distinction resides in the Custer family?
 
Tom Custer, George’s brother, was the first serviceman to win the Medal of Honor twice. Been done 18 times since him, 5 times for a single event, 14, including Custer’s, for two separate events.
Shockingly, none, double or single, were awarded for any of the vicious, bloodcurdling battles with the Hekawis.

Larry Storch is walking trivia answers in someways himself; three of them; friend since childhood with Don Adams of Get Smart fame, served on a submarine in WW2 with Tony Curtis, did voice overs with the legendary Mel Blanc; Storch was also an extremely talented impressionist.
