History of the ACC

I would also be curious as to how they (ACC) designed their schedule. No way they are playing Home and Aways. With the number of teams that is impossible. So who drew the un lucky straw and got Duke twice? I assume everyone played everyone at least once. I know UNC/Duke play twice. So when people point out UNC was 14-6 in conference WHO they actually beat matters.
They have three home/aways with schools: two are designated as "partners" and one seemingly random. Then 14 games of playing once.

Would be even more interesting to figure out how they'd schedule if Big East/ACC merge, lol. If you squint, you can see a good formula that is best for everyone.

Not ACC but the 30 for 30 Playing for the Mob on the BC fixing scandal with Jimmy Burke and Henry Hill (Goodfellas) is on ESPNU now.
I have seen that one. I distinctly remember that Ernie Cobb seeming off in the game against us so I did a little research and he only scored 6 points, and he missed two free throws near the end. Game was a push though.

They were showing Newspaper clippings about that one and the earlier one that invoked NYC teams. One clipping you could make out “John’s”, so I figured it involved a game against St. John’s but I don’t know which scandal it was associated with.

I bet you have the ticket stub.
