Highest paid coaches

Just as an FYI, this has been posted here before, during the tournament, and also discussed. Insofar as Coach K, I agree that sports salaries, for coaches and players, are out of control. However, CEOs of 250mm-1 billion plus companies earn as much and more. The value of Duke basketball goes far beyond revenue generated by that sport, and has helped propel Duke into one of the nation's elite academic institutions. The same happened to Georgetown during their Ewing heyday. Applications skyrocketed, and the impact on the quality of academics is felt to this day. Indiana basketball without Bobby Knight in his prime is hit and miss. Georgetown without JT Jr, not quite as formidable. UCLA is still trying to approach Wooden's excellence. With Duke's success overall, including their endowment, this is likely a fair salary commensurate with Coach K's role.
