Heron Injury Update

Best thing about this year's team is high energy but low drama. Let's just enjoy it.

Right now Heron has nothing to protect. He needs to show his potential employers that he can play basketball on a professional level next year. He can't do that sitting on the bench of a college team of which he is supposed to be a leader.
And you think he is really going to show a whole lot while playing against teams like Albany, or that scouts are going to be impressed by that?

You missed my point. A previous poster mentioned that he hoped this wouldn't turn into a Lovett type "injury" for the sole reason of not worsening his chances as a pro. My point was he has a lot more to prove on the court then what he can accomplish sitting on the bench

exactly. And many posters are not used to that, so they are creating fake drama out of thin air.

I know Mustapha, and all this speculation is absolute BS. He will be back and he WANTS to be back

There's been no internal drama, which is great.

There was external drama, re: Dunn and the NCAA, but that worked out in the end. Hopefully, that's the worst of it.

Hearing rumors that Heron is questioning if he still wants to play basketball and will be withdrawing to spend a year in complete silence at a Buddhist monastery in Tibet.

Yeah, some of you guys are too much!

BTW, I heard Steere is unhappy over Roberts' improvement and is transferring after the semester.

I get the concerns based on all the whacky s_ _ t that's happened around here in recent years. We've become accustomed to expect the worst. But this is a different coach and different group of kids. Can't imagine there's a snowball's chance in hell that Mustapha doesn't return as soon as he is physically able to return.

Give Mustapha our regards.
Fans on this site have not been as prominent with fake news about CMA or the players as the CMA haters are on JJ where they were impeaching CMA as soon as he was hired. They will keep searching and speculating ad nauseam.

Did he get his loincloth back from John Oliver?

Heard coach in person tonight. Mustapha is ok and will be back imminently.

Met him and I like him a lot. He and Cragg both emphasized that the goal is to win a national championship. Refreshing to hear.

Emphasized that we can't win with just 2 guys scoring. Is pleased with how hard our guys play. Skilled speaker, and he has his guy's backs. Spoke highly of the guys coming in next year as well.

Um, they aren’t the only ones creating some drama. From what I saw, Zaun and you dismissed the early reports and diagnosed Mustapha as being more seriously hurt and speculating he’d be out 4-6 weeks.

And to be clear, I’m just busting b@lls. I enjoyed the debate you guys had earlier this week on Seton Hall. That’s was good stuff. Lol.

Not worth playing him. Rest him until he’s ready. We should be able to beat Albany without him. He hasn’t been lighting it up lately. Let him rest up and get back to business when he’s ready.

Amen--I don't even like him going to West Coast as they will probably leave on Thursday and get back late Sunday effectively losing 4 days of physical therapy--want he ready for Butler and the BE beginning on 12/31.
