Happy Birthday Coach Carnesecca, you are one of the Great Ones! When I mention that I graduated from SJU (over 40 yrs. ago), people always ask about you first. Sorry Mario!
 
A treasure. I am sure many of you, like myself, look for him at each game.

Well than Happy Birthday to you too Coaster! (Also happens to be my Dad's 85 and last year they both ended up at the same restaurant and my sister asked Lou to take a picture with him and my Dad which he graciously did, and which opened the floodgates for half the restaurant to make the same request and coach happily obliged).
 
It's almost unfathomable to me that the first time i saw Sju play in the early 70s - almost 50 years ago - Coach was already firmly entrenched as the face of SJU bball. He grew to become the most treasured university asset, representing everything good about SJU.

At 92, as with the few remaining relatives that age, I've come to value every day he is still with us and every interaction and even in person presence.

Guys on here used to wish him the Italian birthday blessing of 100 years. Even now as Coach inches towards that mark it doesn't seem enough.

Happy birthday Coach. You've given us all so much.
