G'Town's Otto Porter to NBA

Jakarr will be Preseason All Big East First Team along with D'Angelo. I wouldn't be surprised to see Obekpa named Preseason All Big East Second Team as there won't be many quality Centers in the new Big East.

I think Preseason POY candidates will be:
Arcidiacono (Nova)
McDermott (Creighton)- if he comes back
Whittington (GTown)

McDermott for sure if he stays...that part is easy :) If he goes, I think it's either Sampson, Cotton, or Pinkston.

Agree but would take D'lo over those three. Just my opinion.

I would in a heartbeat as well, but D'Lo isn't getting preseason love after the suspension. If he is a great citizen and we win games, he will be quite the story come year's end. The media loves that stuff.

In my opinion there is no way Whittington will get it over our guys. Good player and capable of a big year but won't get that type of attention preseason.

And it would really piss me off if archidacono got the preseason POY. Another really good player and a huhe pain in the ass but doesn't deserve it IMO.

Arciadiacano is just the type of player they like to give it to. They love that kid. Sort of the anti-D'Angelo, even though he chucks it just as much.

Whittington was having a better year than Otto before his suspension IIRC. Yes, he is not a "star". But I think with Otto gone and their well-balanced roster, he'll have a great year. I don't see how he is not First team conference.
