Yes, i thought Lavin was a poor Coach and did not get much from his best Recruiting Class of Harrison, Pointer, Greene, Branch, and later Jordan and Obepka. His recruits got to 1 NCAA tourney in his 5 years here . Their last year and promptly lost to San Diego State and, guess who, DeWayne Polee. Lavin was also paid a lot of money , I don’t hold that against him and why should Posters hold it against Mullin . 8. Mullin’s Staff, all of them, are better than Lavin’s , in my opinion . I don’t recall anywhere near the hate that Richmond , St Jean, and Matt have gotten that never surfaced for Keady, Hines or Chiles or Billy Singleton . Did it ? No, it didnt . Mullin’s team in 2018-19 will make the NCAA and contend in the BE . Shouldn’t you and all of us , be happy with that ? Let’s wait and see . Ok ?[/quote]
Age has nothing to do with anything. I was still in high school in 68 if that's when you graduated so you should remember the Johnny Warren, Danny Cornelius, Joe DePre and Ralph Abraham years. You should also remember Alumni Hall filled to the rafters before the Big East. When fraternities were seated down low to intimidate opponents. Some of us want to regain some of that tradition.
As far as your points 1 through 6, if you like Baldi then NOTHING HERE by anyone should bother you. As for #2, the Maven wants Mullin to fire Matt Abdelmassih and is on record about it. You can take up the Matt issue with him. As for #3, I respect Beast but he is a hardcore Republican like the Maven, so I paint you with the same brush. Sorry, but the poster on top of the Pyramid is Paultzman by a mile. I read everything JerseyShoreJohnny posts because he posts facts about the university. At one time I thought he was critical of SJ in an academic sense but totally misread his devotion. I have the utmost respect for him.
As for #4, Johnny Jungle is a cess pool. Negativity thrives there and is edged on by your buddy Baldi. Jungle Dave is a tee shirt pusher and only has mediums.
As for #5, I am not enraged as much as I am in a perpetual state of disappointment. It is constantly 2 steps forward and one step back.
There is no need to write to Mully. He is as thick as a brick. He knows exactly what is complained about as does Matt and GSJ. Liz reads all the social media sites. Mully just doesn't care what you or I think. He is his own man, for better or worse. He has a great, great family who love and support him. He severely underestimated what the job entails.
You and others are the ones who seemingly get upset with any staff criticism. Again, take that up with your buddy The Maven.
#7, Even discounting Lavin as a dunce if you wish, Tony Chiles was top notch as was coach Whitesell. Coach Keady was a "coaching" Hall of Famer and not a photo op guy like Mitch Richmond. Rico Hines was a dick. I still give the nod to Lavin's staff.
Yes, we will all wait and see and hope Mullin and St. John's turns the corner. We all hope he does.
Finally, I appreciate all posters here, you included, as long as they put St. John's and the players first, and staff second as they are paid the big bucks to go with all the Bronx cheers should they deserve it.
