I live in Tucson guys and have season tickets for Arizona, and obviously follow the Pas-12 very closely. If we play loike this against ASwho we will lose by 30....not being negative...just saying.....
 
We'll take it, but we have to learn how to close games out.
 
Need to take better care of the ball in the lead, but mission accomplished! Let's get Marcus back and give Arizona State some pressure Friday.
 
Nebraska beat #14 Minn also gotta help the RPI. And of course Yukon lost so good night.



 
Big win. Wasn't pretty and I wish we'd take better care of the ball, but we showed grit. Umdemanned, with one of our key guys out and we beat them by 8 in what anybody would call a 'road win'. Damn, seemed like GCU had everybody at the game, including the freshman cheerleaders and the janitor.
A very good win.

we turned them over 21times but with did also 18
GC only outrebounded us by 4 but we gave up 18off rebounds, that's horrible.

Better play much much better Friday or AZ St wins by 15.
 
This may have gotten lost in the game analysis but Trimble was a significant contributor in my opinion. He played under control, never turned the ball over, was very solid on the defensive end, gave smart fouls and his minutes were really important given the very short rotation tonight. Good job by the Freshman.

You're right even considering his shot wasn't falling. He came in and made immediate impact. He got two boards immediately handled pressure provided some muscle inside and made a couple of good fouls. Yakwe also had decent game. The drawing charges is obviously a thing now for him.

I'll give them a pass on the offensive rebounds. Some of those Grand Canyon shots were missed by really, really wide margins. Sometimes, it didn't matter how well you were banging underneath, because the ball wound up nowhere near there.

I think we missed Marcus towards the end of this game. Last year, he was the one doing a lot of the inbounding in those situations.

I still think it's a good sign that we've won 2 games without playing particularly well (and Oregon St. was marginal too, if you want to throw in a third game). 3 not great performances, at neutral/road sites, against teams that are at least decent, and they wind up being wins? That's something we haven't seen much of around here in recent years. It means we are operating with at least some margin for error. Maybe not a lot, but the last two years, we were operating with none.
 
Any word on Marcus for the ASU game? Don't want him back before he's healed, but man we need him.
 
We are 8-1. We won tonight beacause we had the best player Mr. Ponds and they couldn’t handle our athletism. It was ugly but a win & we covered. Without LoVett the next game could be ugly.
 
Yak! I have a feeling we need to improve our out of bounds plays. With all the turnovers by GCU we should have blown them away. Thought we were overconfident, but considering we didn't have Lovett I'll take our 8th win. Fortunately, Ponds scored 28 of our 68 points. Going need more offense from everyone else on Friday.

Gotta take the W’s when they come but the team has a long long way to go. Poor shot selection & carelessness with the ball are glaring.

Really to me we should just run run run on teams like this until their will breaks. Can’t do that against the next opponent but tonight I thought with all their misses we should’ve tried to get out in transition a bunch more.

One of my many complaints over the years, is that I don't think there is a team in America that misses more layups then us.

After watching Grand Canyon tonight, I will never be able to say that again.
