@NYPost_Brazille: In positive #sjubb news: Federico Mussini tells me he will arrive Aug. 24. Rest of class expected then, too, I'm told.

One week to get to campus! Can't wait ⚪

Jim Burr retired.

You should have started a new thread.
This isn't good news.

It's F'n Fantastic News.

Won't miss him, but thankful to him anyway, for the Rutgers BE Tournament game 4 years ago.

Still, he always seemed to come across as an A-hole, and I never like that sort of attitude. As bad as Higgins could be sometimes, he always came across as a nice guy, and someone coaches could at least talk to with a civil tone. Burr? Not so much (this is a view from afar, obviously).

We won that game! What, rutgers would have had 2 seconds from half court to hit a 3 to tie the game? Everyone was saying how the game was stolen from them? BS, our win was stolen, no one gave us credit for a W.

Some people believe that Rutgers should have been awarded two free throws, because Brownlee threw the ball in the air. That would have given Rutgers a chance to tie even before inbounding with 1.6 seconds left (we were only up 2). I personally think Brownlee would not have done that, had the out of bounds been properly called.

Still, Rutgers was denied a chance. No guarantees, I agree with you on that. Some of the blame, IMO, also goes to Lavin and Rice for starting the mid-court handshakes immediately after Brownlee's steal, which threw everybody off WRT time (smart move on Lavin's part, not so on Rice's).

2 free throws for throwing the ball in the air? That is a clock killing move that is done all the time!
