Glenn Taylor

I wouldnt throw it past Taylor starting next game. Just like Conway has had random starts or been first off the bench and Drissa has had games with extended run.
Rick is so unpredictable & master psychologist, an asset keeping players, opponents & loony fans like us on our toes. It feels great to look forward to every game with a certain degree of optimism, not waiting for other shoe to drop. Long season in hell of a conference, but enjoying every minute of this.

The after effects of the mindset of the roster is two-fold. Culture change for the betterment of the program. The reserves now know to always be ready even when you have had 3 straight DNP-CD’s. The starters need to keep their edge and remain focused or possibly lose your spot. You are only as good as your last practice. Refreshing!

I know this thread is about Taylor, and he has played very well most of the season, but Taylor not starting is all about the culture Rick has built with a very experienced deep roster and a couple of highly regarded frosh.

A couple of weeks ago, prob the bc game, Brady had the ballon the left elbow under pressure. A johhny right infront of me (i was 2nd row midcourr) head faked toward the midcourt line and cut toward the hoop. The bc guard went for the fake, but so did Brady, who threw the ball toward halfcourt where it was picked off for a layup. Lead evaporating, he was yanked and walked dejectedly to the bench.

Every johnny that Brady passed on the bench patted him on the back. Simeon Wilcher was seated next to Brady, and he is fighting for minutes too. Wilcher put his arm around Brady's shoulder and was yapping with him for above 5 minutes gesturing with his hands how these things happen.

Teammates supporting teammates. Recruiting players who believe the only important stat is a W. Recruiting guys who won't sulk, stay ready, and will have moments to shine on the world's biggest stage for one of the nation's best coaches. Keep your head up, and there will be a bunch of oppotunitied for fans, media, future pro coaches somewhere to say "That kid can play'. Maybe even deep into March.

You need a HOF coach and PHD kids to pull this off.

Kids like Glenn Taylor.

What I like about these guys is they aren't crybabies. Alleyene approached coach said whenever you need me I'll be ready. Taylor doesn't play hits the gym . Breath of fresh air with these guys. We all look at game play but let's also look at the climate rock is building . Was watching our bench when viewing a game of ours compared to our bench this year. Night and day. Last year the bench couldn't care less (was watching clip of the UConn game last year). This year our guys are truly cheering for each other . That in itself makes itself more valuable then a w at times.

Totally agree and I also think we have strong senior leadership. Joel, daniss seem like the type to set a good example.
