I know some will complain we took too many 3 pointers, but honestly, that's what the defense is giving us. None of the threes were really contested, and I thought pretty much all of them were good shots. We just need Heron to hit a few more of his wide open ones.

Beside the 2 stars, both tems have players capable of much more.
Heron and Simon missed some open shots but they had more in and out balls.
I feel we started so strong but they erased the lead fairly quickly as well.
I dont know if we can shoot better collectively. I hope they don’t.
And we need some more turnovers from them.

He needs another year.
Never heard Heron say he was
The general consensus I’ve read here is that he’s almost certainly declaring after this season, no?

More inside play with Heron and Simon.
Simon allowed 1 3-pointer a game to keep their D honest.

Agreed it’s not like they were forcing the threes they were all good shots , except Simon needs to learn that’s just not his shot the reason he gets so many open looks is because the other team wants him taking that shot.
This home court crowd is lousy tonight. We have to seal this up early in the second half and take this game.
I have found that Nova fans don't get into the game until they have a comfortable lead and it's late in the game... at least, that's been my observation

I think he wants to earn $$, but he never alluded to being first round pick publicly to my knowledge.

We shot 43% from three. Doubt we improve on that in second half. Heron was a little off but Shamorie & Figgy very hot. It evens out.

Long stressful work day sooo
I’m neither watching nor listening as I get myself too worked up over a “ stupid college game” -
But from you all sharing your observations I take away this:
WE ARE THE BETTER TEAM
playing and beating the champs
By 5
on their court!
Nice.
Go Storm!

SJU is an outside shooting team. I never thought I’d say that having watched SJU for a few decades, but we are. Keep shooting. Just get back and play D.

Two well matched teams in an enjoyable game. Having lead is quite ok with no significant foul trouble. Be nice if Eric P cools down & Ponds doesn’t. Gillespie getting abused btw.

You would know better than anyone but I would assume anyone who declares for the draft has to think they’re getting a sniff in the 1st round. There’s no (real) money in the 2nd round.

Clark will hopefully give us more in 2nd half. Simon due to hit one 3.

Ponds can get into lane or really get any shot he wants. 2nd half he is going to have to take over.
Heron pressing on offense because Paschal just to big for him on D and trying to do too much on offense.

Obviously & probably ends up there. Some kids just have to start earning $$ imo.

Nicely played game.Limited fouls nice flow. Lets turn up the D in second half. Hold them to 30 pts this half and we have a real good chance at winning even if our offense slows down. Ponds can take this game over. They have nobody who can consistently contain him. Clarke hitting some shots will allow Ponds and the others room to drive. Come on boys. DEFENSE.

He is the teams best 3 point shooter, like 46 pct, but he also leads team in turnovers. Not good fo a secondary ball handler.
