if this game is going to look like organized basketball, we have little chance.
We need a game that looks like a heater-skelter chaotic brawling mess.

Vanilla ice perpetually looks like he is in quicksand out there. Should not be playing this much!

Coach loves him for some reason.

We are just such a poor offensive team right now. Too many guys who are hesitant to shoot albeit with good reason. Maybe Heron can get hot in 2nd half. We need some kind of spark.

Yep! Because they're gonna more times than not run their stuff and get the looks they want (inside or out) in the half court. It's not helping matters that we've been late to the party when tagging shooters.

Game does look like a mess on both sides. If St. John's wasn't involved who among us would not turn to another game. SH vs Butler was a ten this game is a zero.

On the bright side, Williams played well.

Always seems like friars play us tough. I think some of our guys are afraid to take a shot. Hope we just let it fly. Who knows...they might start falling....Go St. JOHNS!

Half our team gave us 0’s across the board in the 1st. Gotta get out in transition and get a few guys going.

Duke, I like the remark about Dunn's one trick being pretty good. I wonder next year when we have two point guards, whether he will be moved to the shooting guard spot or have to fight for time with those two. Tonight he showed the penetrating skill and point scoring ability and moments later drives into so many giants that they are doomed to fail.
Where are our offensive rebounds? our turnovers? rough game to be behind when aside from Diallo, the Friars were as bad, even worse, than us.

Both teams playing poorly. Only difference I see is Friars are stronger down low. One play in the half Diallo came flying in and seemed to push Caraher and Heron right out of the way. Should have been a foul but very little resistance.

Dunn is a shooting guard that can’t shoot. That said, scary to think where we’d be without him this year. Terrific last minute pickup.

Id like to see more williams and earlington in the second half.

And id like to see us get it to the guy at the foul line against this zone. There are opportunities if we can get it in there instead of just passing it around the perimeter.

Let's hope Providence has the same lousy start in the second half as they had in the first..only this time we make a few shots off the turnovers.
If they continue to shoot poorly and someone can slow down Diallo, we may still have a chance to pull this out of the hat at the end.
They don't seem to have the capacity to put the hammer down on us if we just shoot modestly better and score off the turnovers.
