Yikes worst half of the short season. LJ arrived late and Herron didn’t get off the bus. Defense which was much improved first two games slipped tonight so far. Shot selection and Failing to finish underneath reared it’s ugly head tonight.

Hopefully big second half coming

Well guys I edited an overly optimistic post that I put up on another thread before the game because I think it cursed us. We were down 32-23 when I edited it and now we're up 36-34 at the half. That first half was all my fault. We should be good now...

Watching him live, he has a poor handle. Not comfortable running the team. Plus Rutherford struggling tonight.
Greg Williams doesn’t look comfortable out there. Very stiff and a touch slower from last season, must be his back bothering him still.
It was mentioned he had finger issue as well.
Considering how poorly we played-although we did play hard all half-glad we’re only down 2. Expect we’ll come around in 2nd half and win by 10-15.
Bama hangover my friend? We up 2!.;) :)

SJU Mount Rushmore according to Fox:

Coach Lapchick, Coach Carnesecca, Walter Berry, Mark Jackson, Tony Jackson, Al McGuire, Dick McGuire,
Chris Mullin, Billy Paultz and Malik Sealy.

Lavin mentions Frank McGuire and DLo
Jimmy Jackson mentioned Bill Wennington and Willie Glass (in jest)

I missed who was on StJ’s Mount Rushmore

And Colin Gillespie second team all-Big East? I don’t see it, what am I missing?

We fought back which is good. I think Anderson will get em moving st the half. Again, this is college ball. UK is losing to Evansville’s right now. SJU won’t get better without strife and competition and this is good for us...as long as we figure out how to win.

We aren’t a very talented team. Remember most of our team is 2 starters from last year and a bunch of bench players who didn’t play last year or sit out transfers. We have two guys in Dunn and Steere who are legit starting caliber players.

I’m still enjoying this style of play and I think this experience will bode well for our season overall.

There's only 4 people on a Rushmore. Was that two (and a half) separate lists?

Greg Williams & Rutherford putting up some bricks tonight. Need to get Heron going now.

We're letting these guys stay in the game. Need some separation or this is going down to the wire.

They're playing like they had me fooled into optimism for the season.
