Some will disagree but Williamson will be a star in the NBA. He is head and shoulders above the rest. As much as I hate Duke he is such a pleasure to watch. LEBRON esq
He will never come close to LeBron. Ben Simmons is the only one who can in my
Opinion
I don't think he's a Lebron either. Mullin mentioned Barkley and Shawn Kemp and that rang true to me. More on the latter than the former. But I do think he's a star especially since the NBA is so diluted with younger players. I'd also say closer to Larry Johnson from UNLV.

Why not give Greg William's some burn here. Great experience for a freshmen to play in this environment. At this point, who cares if he makes some mistakes.
Simmons can't shoot 3's. Zion has the ability to be a solid 3 point shooter( With some development) if he chooses. But his quickness/inside game is exceptional
Simmons will add the 3 point shot to his game. But his vision and passing is unreal and what actually makes him LeBron-like. What makes LeBron is his insane vision and finishing ability. He didn’t get a great deep range shot until a couple years into his career. I’d put my money on Simmons getting there, as opposed to Zion who looks like a dunker and finisher with no real passing/dribbling ability

Meanwhile SH just battled back down 17 to tie Butler with 35 seconds to go. Heresy here to many. but Williard can coach.

This was a house money game. They should get a nice bump in strength of schedule.

The other takeaway is they played hard but if they really want to ever think they can realistically play Duke even in Cameron they need to get better players in terms of quantity.

Also kudos to anyone still watching I turned it off as soon as Zion got an and one reverse put back like 2 minutes into the half

WTF was that? Not gonna post the thought that just crossed my mind
The only redemption forthis team will be a Win on Tuesday at Marquette . Use this humiliation as motivation to beat them twice this season . After the 18 minute mark of first half , we lost poise and swagger . Second half , the wheels fell off for entire team . Nobody showed up in next 20 minutes .
FOX, they should have used the shu game as motivation for the whole season and I don't care if we went 17-1, i'd still be pissed for being robbed a game. Maybe that's Jordan esq, I heard that he was crazy on his teammates in practice, and wanted even the smallest thing as motivation.
I know you need to let things go, and yeah I would, after the season is over.

Williams was in there . He caught the turnover and bad play the Starters had . Ponds is embarrassing himself by missing that breakaway dunk . Mullin should sit him until Milwaukee .

Yep. Willard and Cooley are better than any coach we have had in many, many years. Say what you want, but proof is in the pudding.

Can anyone say nonchalant?

Ponds completely shit the bed today, no way around it. His stock went way down. This was his chance to show that he could handle the ball, facilitate, make the guys around him better and score some. But, NC State just lost and scored only 24 pts for the entire game against VA Tech!! And they’re ranked. Now that’s shitting the bed!!

I agree with the passing and court vision. Simmons has the edge there but I see these two as different style players. I think you are selling Zion short...is is as complete (or close to) a player as we have seen in years. And for the record "I HATE DUKE'

It's best if Simon goes elsewhere for his senior year. We need two primary ball-handlers and Mullin has clearly hitched his wagon to the impossibly unskilled Simon and that will cost him a job if it doesn't change.

Can't wait to see what Ponds does as a senior, because you'd have to be crazy to draft him after what Jones did to him and what McKnight did to him earlier.
