What's going on with Caraher why is he scared to shoot? He's giving us absolutely nothing. He's turned down so many open shots it's unreal, then when he decides to shoot, he does a terrible pump and moves into a mid range shot and air balls it.
The last 3 games he's got 0 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist.

I guess we triple them because it takes 3 of our guys to make the weight or width of theirs.
Seriously, I think the sense is one on one their bigs will hit 90% if they get the ball down low against our thin defensive players. For the most part, the 3s they hit weren't from the bigs passing out, so maybe it worked. DePaul didn't really take that much advantage of the triple team I thought.

Sad to say Dave is not a BE level player nor a shooter. Heady guy, but game too fast for him at this level

Earlington needs to be in at least 15 minutes this half. Wake up coach!!!!
Yes we need to show big second half improvement, especially since the way DePaul played in the first half, it felt like we should have been up 6 or 7 at the half.
You can see in the body language that both Caraher and Champaignie have lost a ton of confidence since the beginning of the season. Caraher passes up open shots (maybe for the best at this point) and Champaignie looks to be overthinking. This is a tough competitive conference and they have a bit of catching up to do.
10 guys played in the first half, but only half of them scored:
Figueroa - 16
Heron - 7
Williams - 5
Champagnie - 4
Sears - 2
0's for Roberts, Rutherford, Dunn, Earlington, and Caraher. To be fair, of those 5 guys, only Dunn has taken more then 1 shot, and he's only taken 2.

Just finished watching the first half. I am a100% supporter of coach Anderson, however I can't believe he left Sears play as long as he did. How many balls have tto bounce off his hands. Should have been taken out after his careless foul at half court. Why leave Roberts or Earlington on the bench? C'mon coach you are smarter then this.And speaking of playing time Caraher can't move laterally or beat his man, obviously can't get a three off without a quick pick.
Why doesn't Williams ever take it to the hoop?
It's a good thing Fig hit those 3s because unlike the first game when Dunn penetrated effectively and scored a lot, they closed off his lanes very well. We will scoring help from Heron, Williams or Dunn, or some surprise "other", because Fig won't be sufficient.
