The spacing without Simon makes it look like a different game.
Excellent point. When he was in they where guarding him with their big and covering Clark with a SF. If we get dribble penetration from Ponds, Trimble and Williams will see plenty of open looks,

It has probably happened before but I believe this is the first time I've seen Trimble drive to the basket.

1st time ever
Fools gold with all the threes. Need to tighten up perimeter d and Ponds needs to take it to the hole
We played excellent defense the last 7 minutes or so of that half.

I even said Williams has a nice looking stroke and I was befuddled why he was in such a slump since most of his shots are wide open. He finally hit one and that will help keep Creighton honest. He just needs more touches IMO shooting it. Knew he had it in him all along.

Agree that 3's are fool's gold. 2nd half we need to tighten up and only take 3's that are good looks. Simon should take zero. Looks clueless shooting 3's and no idea how that's the case with Mullin as coach. 3's stop falling eventually like against Nova. Must balance more with drives to get to the line.

Not a bad half, just too many guys in foul trouble.
The only people with 3 fouls are Greg and Keita. We are in good shape
Simon is I’ll so I wouldn’t count on him for big minutes in the second half. Figgy has two fouls as well. Foul trouble an issue

We got Figgy a lot of rest to protect him with 2 fouls. We should be able to rotate Ponds, Heron, Clark, Figgy, Trimble & Williams in second half - win this one and the world will be a lot brighter in the morning!

Earlington!

If someone has taken 10 threes all year it’s not a slump lol it’s a non story. No point dwelling on it anymore, he’s a freshman finding his way

Announcers said he was sick. I think that’s why he was out.

It's called sample size. He's about a 29-33% shooter this year with 50 attempts. He'll build his way north of 35 next year.

Up 23-15 on rebounding and 10-8 on bench scoring. Need to somehow finish this.

lol. looked like a minor epileptic episode.

It's a throwback to the two handed set shot circa 1932.

Fouls are 7-2. BS. We don't get any breaks either at home or on the road. Heron got killed and no foul called.

He's our designated 3 point shooter next year.

As noted often, Williams played a ton of SF in HS in inferior league & scored mostly slashing. He’ll be a fine shooter here in time & fan favorite. Think Postell who did not come here with great outside shooting skills in year one.

Simon is a horrible shooter but he can hit an open three. He shot 40 percent from three last year. I have no problem with him taking an occasional three if he’s wide open and the game’s not on the line.
