I'm very impressed that the Johnnies have cut Villanova's lead to two. 36-34 at the half

It looked like a potential blow out for awhile.

Mike's players are showing a lot of heart.

He made the FG and missed one FT for chance for 3 point play.

Did you ever think you'd prefer to see Josh at the FT line?

We have taken 13 more FG attempts in the first half.

=====

it is what it is.

Given the thin roster CMA inherited we are lucky to have Rutherford.

This StJohn's roster is pretty much like an expansion like team with
* a player who last played in Monmouth (and didn't start most games),
* a transfer from St. Francis who was first headed to basketball lightweight Cleveland State (sans Kevin Mackey),
* a transfer from Houston Baptist (how many people knew that there was such as school much less one that played D! sports),
* a four star high school football Defensive End who had offers to play football from Georgia, Penn State, Michigan State, and others but chose to accept the one and only scholarship offer to play basketball at StJohn;s,
and a like assortment of mismatched talent.

So yeah this team is short on talent but that should not be a surprise to anyone at this point in the season.

The kids play hard which is something that Mullin's teams did not always do.

Lets hope that we have at least on shooters next season.

Just able to turn the game on. So, what did I miss, guys?

Seriously, down by 2? We must have been playing pretty well in that first half. Let’s Go Johnnies! You can pull this out!

Close lol. Wife & I were in Charlotte at a Joe Biden event then getting ashes. Missed first 7 minutes of first half.

Oh Figgy. How can someone look so good with some shots and look so bad with that last one?

Champagnie really playing great overall. Getting more aggressive on offense. What a steal. Gonna be a great 4-year player for us.

Wow Caraher trapped and nobody moves to get open for like 15 minutes. Move your arses out there for crying out loud!

Agree. With him getting better, along with Duke and Dunn, plus the newbies coming in next year, this team will be a lot better.
