Agree here. Sanchez and Bourgault will push Dom further if he can't score. I like Dom, but I want to see him able to make some jumpers.

What worries me about Pointer is, knowing him, I have no doubt whatsoever that he worked really hard on his offensive game over the summer. That leads me to believe that he just doesn't have the ability, and likley never will.

BTW, 8 pts, 7 rbs in that first half. Other then a 1 or 2 plays, he did most of that under control and in rhythm. Most of his rebounds ignited our fastbreak offense, which was mostly effective.

A few things I can nitpick at, but overall, a very solid first half on the road. Now comes the tough part - keeping it up.

It's only been 2 exhibition and 1 1/2 regular season games, but I agree with you here.
 
They got some points inside when CO was on the bench. Not sure why he didn't see more minutes.

Lol, Jakarr has 8pts 7 Rebs at the half and on track for a double-double soon. Does his ability kick in at 30pts/20 Rebs???

I thought he looked better so far.

There was a play he was driving wildly to the hoop with a defender in front of him and he passed it to our guy trailing instead of taking the shot. We didnt make the basket but that showed some maturity to me

I don't want to see Dom taking jumpers ever again. It's quite clear he hasn't put much work on his shot. And his FTs are just lackadaisical.

Either drive the ball to the hoop or get out of the way and play defense.

But no more jumpers.
 
its sucks because he was one of our highest recruits. i know when he was recruited he didn't have a good jump shot. dom has good athletic ability i thought it would translate offensively.

Not only has he played well, but he, along with Obekpa, somewhat intimidated C of C under the basket.

Let's jump out on C of C at the beginning of this half, and build up our lead again.
 
definitely agree they got sloppy at the end of the half. Charleston managed to find several gaps in teh zone. I don't think that Obekpa has blocks because they are not attempting much in the lane. When we aren't leaving huge gaps CC isn't even trying to drive the lane. CC actually seems to be waiting for good looks. If they start hitting we will have our hands full. on to the second half
