Four guard look

Well, for those of who chirp to see a lot more of Jamal Branch - you just got your wish....

Harrison, Jordan, Greene, Pointer, Obekpa
Branch first off the bench?
Then Jones/Alibegovic ?

Either Jones or Amir need to step up and grab some boards or this will be a long year. Can't this program get a break

Having seen the 2 exhibition games, if you're counting on those two, it WILL be a long season

I agree I saw both. Is it too late to trade one of our guards for a big man.

St. John's is going into the season with a front court of:

Khadim Ndiaye 6-6
Sir'Dominic Pointer 6-6
Christian Jones 6-7
Amar Alibegovic 6-9
Chris Obekpa 6-10
Joey De La Rosa 6-11

Does anybody seriously think that group is going to be able to compete against Syracuse, Villanova, Duke, Georgetown, etc.? C'mon

The saving grace there is having a 6'10 junior future draft pick to plug in at center. The season hinges on Dom. He needs to eat, sleep, and breathe being a PF.

So now based on the first exhibition game Obekpa is a future draft pick?
I hope you're right.

Have you missed the last nine months of my posts on Obekpa? I think he is primed to explode this year. I just hope he can stay out of foul trouble.

I just don't get the negativity on this board. We could potentially start:

#26 RSCI ranked from 2013
#47 RSCI ranked from 2011
#52 RSCI ranked from 2011
#35 RSCI ranked from 2011
#69 RSCI ranked from 2012

With a four year starter and 40% 3-pt shooter, Phil Greene in the top six.
We have a 6'9 decent looking freshman PF/C a 6'8 redshirt soph at PF and a 6'11 junior at center--all three north of 230 pounds.

I guess I understand...I mean, when was the last undersized St. John's team to under-perform as juniors and then deliver a sensational season out of nowhere? That must have been decades ago. Or 2011-2012.

Who are you and what have you done with the old Marillac? The one who wasn't taking lithium while posting?
