Cezar Guerrero scored 29 points last night in a win . Point guard who some said was a bit small to play high major basketball. I know the staff was and is after the bigger fish.. but this kids handle was off the charts sick. Let's see who we can get in 2012. :)

I was a big proponent on his here. Good to see he's healthy. He had a scary practice injury (neck) last month.

Speaking of formers, TyShwan (and the rests of his team for that matter) had a brutal game against Cal after he had 20 in Austin Peay's opener. I'm assuming Quincy won't be eligible at Grambling State til the second semester. Ron Roberts had a double double in his first game of the year. Omari has only appeared in one of K States 2 games and for only 2 minutes in that one. Assume he has work to do to get some run. Yeah a little slow at work this morning.

Didn't mean to imply it was his first game, just his first game of the season.

I believe we were listed at one point with Sidike Johnson who was just suspended from Arizona. Neal Nieves said he is hearing that he might transfer.

I happen to like Sidiki's game. I know many who don't feel the same.
But Sidiki should have never went to UA. Too bad as now he has to miss time regardless. Its clear he's not happy with the few minutes he's getting and it will get 10 times worse next year with Ashley and Kaleb coming in.

Did you go see Garrett play in CT?

West coast speculation is that Miller is trying to squeeze Sidiki into transferring, as they unexpectdly are going to need an extra ride next year. Before they actually had to get on the court and perform, it was assumed that PG Josiah Turner was as sure a "1 and done" as John Wall or Kyrie Irving, and would be gone after the season. Still an outside chance of that (lot of games to go), but more likely Turner is going to be back for a 2nd year, and Sidiki is the odd man out.

Miller did the same thing last year with guard Daniel Bejarano (that was before Momo decided to transfer meaning they didn't really NEED to run the kid). Daniel will be playing for Colorado State next season. Really hope the kid comes back to bite AZ in the A$$. Good kid, two time Arizona state player of the year, as he led his HS team to back-to-back state Championships.

No I've been battling head cold since Friday. Would have liked to more see Darrick as I've seen Amir before.

Wonder if Sidiki would consider transferring home toplay for SJU? I wouldn't mind some quality depth and a talented local PF on the roster. He'd have to compete for time here too though, like anybody else. If he's not content with something like that, he'd be better off transferring to a lower level school. IMO, if he does decide to transfer, Kevin Willard should be sleeping outside his dorm room.

Even if we do get a LOI from Gathers, Sidiki would be guaranteed minutes at STJ and could even play some 5. WE would be a great destination for him.

I actually think Sidiki would be a role player at SJU and not a starter. He's not in Lavin's gazelle-type mold. He can move well enough, but is a bit of a lumbering type and not an amazing athlete. Same things I didn't love about dingle. He does have some skills and nice size. IMO no way he'd start over Gathers nor a guy like Jakarr if they were to come on board. Wouldn't mind a guy like Sidiki in the 6-13 range on our roster though. Like I said, don't know if he'd be happy with that.
