Football Giants

I was surprised that the G-Men did not draft an OL this year. The tackles are terrible. They have to shuffle what they have or scour the guys cut/retired from other clubs.

I'm not disagreeing with you that Eli's time as Giants QB is coming to an end. He's got 2 more years after this and I highly doubt he'll be here past that. But unless they come up with a top 5 pick (which they won't), I don't really see a point in picking a QB this year. I'd rather them focus on improving the OL and rushing attack, so that when they eventually do bring in Eli's replacement, the pieces will already be there for him. They already have good, young pass catchers in OBJ, Shepard, & Engram. Now, they need to actually focus on protecting whomever their QB is.

Brandon Marshall has been a bust so far this year as well
I think he spreads butter on his fingers before each game so he can't hold onto the ball
He should copy Fred Belitnikoff and smear himself with that stickum stuff instead
The Giants have a terrible offensive line and offensive backfield
Eli isn't good enough to make things happen on his own
This team was overrated before the season began

Not to be an Eli defender, but Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen isn't going to make a difference if they don't (1) improve the OL (2) have some form of a running game. I'm not going to pretend Eli is helping the situation with his play, but the Giants have had a one dimensional offense for years and that's a big reason why they haven't gone anywhere.

2012 - Ahmad Bradshaw 1,015 yards
2013 - Andre Brown 492 yards
2014 - Andre Williams 721 yards
2015 - Rashad Jennings 863 yards
2016 - Rashad Jennings 593 yards

Through 2 games, Paul Perkins has 26 yards, Shane Vereen has 28 yards, and Orleans Darkwa has 31 yards. It's not surprising that Eli is struggling when the team literally hasn't had a rushing attack since Bradshaw in 2012.

They need to trade for AP. Make compensation dependent on performance. He may not have anything left in the tank, but if you are going to have no line help, he's still better than what they have now.

We need a running back capable of breaking multiple tackles before he gets out of the backfield.

I think Barry Sanders is available.

Good luck with that.

Giants are embarrassing.
Coach & GM need to go.

So many chances to win this game. Have to be able to win the short yardage battles. As good as Beckham is, he is a disgrace. Hope he gets a huge fine. Defense did not stop the run all day. D backs need to knock down that last pass. Receivers need to get to the line to gain.

It's impossible to accurately assess our coach or skill players. All are playing with a high school offensive line. Jerry Reese ignoring the o-line got Gilbride and then Coughlin fired. Time for Jerry to pay for his mess.

Agree but Goodell opened the door with his placating of the mutant culture by loosening up the rules on celebrations. The announcer was right when he said the refs have to be dance judges now too.

Besides being disappointed again and again with the awful offensive line I don't care for the defensive play of Apple and Thompson. Have to believe Beckham is mentally ill, alla Jim Piersall. McAdoo's play calling in the first half was terrible. Have a feeling he'll get another chance to coach next year but Reese has to be a goner.

Beckham's end zone "celebration" was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen
Here it is in case you missed it

The Giants are the easiest team in the NFL to defend against the closer they get to the end zone because:
1 the offensive line can't open any holes
2 their running backs aren't strong enough to push defensive players into the end zone
3 Eli Manning is totally inept at running even a one foot quarterback sneak or rolling out and either throwing the ball into the end zone or running the ball into the end zone
Would McAdoo have the guts to bring in the Jet quarterback the next time the Giants get a first and goal on the five?

Or at least keep him in bounds! 1 second really? Home clock?

Was an entertaining game, OBJ should get paid in full before their next game because he's single handedly carrying this offense and prolonging Eli's career. I'm an eagles fan so im happy today... Fly Eagles Fly!

No not really. Once player touched the white boundry he is out of bounds. He was clearly out of bounds with .01.Just unfortunate for Gmen.
