Season opens Sunday night in Dallas at 8:30pm.
Big hopes for this team if the O-line can protect Eli. D looks like a game changer.

O line protecting Eli, and O line making holes for RBs. Perkins seems to need those running lanes, since he doesn't seem to make his own. Do that and rest of O will take care of itself. D is elite.

Galiman is the best inside runner they will have by end of the season . He's gonna get beat up though in the long run . Kid has burst and some talent picking holes and can pick up blitzes already .

What a farce! He's suspended but can play vs. the G-Men.

Its as if the NFL wants their sunday night showcase game to have a storyline..

Let him play, what happened last year when he played both games? We swept them.
I like it this way better, no excuses.

Sounds like the Gary Sanchez suspension? No? lol. Go Pack!

America's Team!!! Dallas Cowboys are the only non-New York team that I am a fan of. Jets are my 2nd favorite in football. I love seeing the "Boys beat the Giants, Eagles, and Redskins. Like SU, there are a lot of Giant fans in my area, and they are all quiet. I love it! Yes, Zeke played and he danced all over the Giants! He should never have been suspended being that he was never arrested or charged with anything.

Dallas Cowboys 19, New York Giants 3. I'll savor this one for awhile!

In my own twisted world as a diehard Mets fan (13 to 1 losers tonight to the awful Marlins) and a diehard Giants fan (0 and 2 and looking just terrible after their home opener loss to the Lions tonight) there is a lot of pressure on St. John's to be good this season.

If St. John's is not good, then my 2017 sports year (Mets, Giants and St. John's) will likely be a total bust.

Let's go Rangers! ;) :)

This is a bad combination of an offensive line unable to give the QB protection, and an aging immobile QB (who never moved that great to begin with), who can't bail the line out of it (I'm a huge Eli fan, FTR).

I'm not on the "Suck for Sam" bandwagon quite yet, but check back in a few weeks.

Not to be an Eli defender, but Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen isn't going to make a difference if they don't (1) improve the OL (2) have some form of a running game. I'm not going to pretend Eli is helping the situation with his play, but the Giants have had a one dimensional offense for years and that's a big reason why they haven't gone anywhere.

2012 - Ahmad Bradshaw 1,015 yards
2013 - Andre Brown 492 yards
2014 - Andre Williams 721 yards
2015 - Rashad Jennings 863 yards
2016 - Rashad Jennings 593 yards

Through 2 games, Paul Perkins has 26 yards, Shane Vereen has 28 yards, and Orleans Darkwa has 31 yards. It's not surprising that Eli is struggling when the team literally hasn't had a rushing attack since Bradshaw in 2012.

Your second point goes into your first one, IMO. I don't think we can judge the runners without an OL to give them room.

Of course, they need more (I don't even consider Eli to be at fault), but stinking, and getting a young QB can still help the franchise for another decade, even if he sits behind Eli for a year or two.

I'm not disagreeing with you that Eli's time as Giants QB is coming to an end. He's got 2 more years after this and I highly doubt he'll be here past that. But unless they come up with a top 5 pick (which they won't), I don't really see a point in picking a QB this year. I'd rather them focus on improving the OL and rushing attack, so that when they eventually do bring in Eli's replacement, the pieces will already be there for him. They already have good, young pass catchers in OBJ, Shepard, & Engram. Now, they need to actually focus on protecting whomever their QB is.
