Fwiw if you’re into sports betting I would go with Florida State Money Line on this one.

Because of the difference in records st Johns will be favored, but this game is a toss up based on what I’ve seen from both teams.

So FSU ML is good value

For whatever reason vegas thinks St. John’s is better than they always are (sounds like some of us on here. Myself included). So our lines are never accurate initially. Either we don’t get enough points initially (see Iowa state initial line). Or we are favored way too much. So I agree Jack. And the line will be wrong. So if u like fsu. Jump on it early before it moves.

You’re not less of a fan for it either! Think of it this way either the johnnies win and you’re happy or the Johnnies lose and you win a little money as a consolation

FWIW, as of now, ESPN's matchup predictor gives us a 70.6% chance of outright victory.

They update it every day though, and FSU does play a game this week, so it's worth watching moving forward.
 
Though this is our first ever meeting with Florida State, Leonard Hamilton is no stranger coaching against St.John’s. As head coach (Oklahoma State/Miami) he has a career record of 9-9 against us.

However games in the state of Florida, he has beaten us 6 out of 8 times. No fun in the sun for our legends that include Malik Sealy, Felipe Lopez, Ron Artest and Erick Barkley.

Let’s go and take care of business next week and not worry about chillin at the beach.

You might be thinking when we played Georgia Tech in Miami. Ponds last season, but it is was Hoophall Invitational, not Orange Bowl.

 
Actually I was joking about us playing them in football and knew by saying field goal instead of touchdown people might not get it so what the hey espken I'll just go along with your explanation. ;) :) :ROFLMAO:
 
This game makes me nervous. FSU has more talent than St. John's on paper, but as Rocket said they are young and have been battling injuries. Team is going to have an entire week off and be taking finals this week, they cannot get off to a slow start and let FSU get some confidence going, they have shown they are still very capable, they competed well against Purdue and Virginia.

I think Montez Mathis status this game is going to be huge, he's been arguably the most consistent player on the team this year and he's a guy that can hit shots and get to the rim when they get into an offensive drought.

Podcasts - three man weave, and CBS sports eye on college basketball are very good.

Field of 68 on youtube has a million videos and daily coverage. A lot of different hosts for that one so it’s not always consistent.

Field of 68 is the worst imo. It’s all clickbait nonsense “XXXXX is the BEST team in the country right now” are the titles of all their videos.

3MW guys are good, they are a part of that field of 68 thing but they provide actual substance
