This took a little digging. They recently joined the D-1 Southland Conference and I don't believe are yet eligible for the NCAA tournament. Even better see below.

On November 7, 2024, the university was renamed to East Texas A&M University

I assume they don’t want to be confused with Texas A&M. Just like Rutgers-Newark.

We did lose to St. Thomas Aquinas of Nyack. (Funny enough name of Mully's Parish in Flatlands growing up in Bklyn.)
