Felix Ineligible

Lets see........ a disgraced former coach at Westchester CC now faces criminal charges for forging the transcripts of Lavin recruit Kieth Thomas and meeting a "StJohn's employee" (perhaps a coach?) in the parking lot of a Greenburgh, N.Y., shopping center where the defendant handed over a “forged transcript to the StJohn's "employee" which transcript was used to admit Mr, Thomas, and now....... it is reported that Felix's ineligibility is related to acts that occurred during Lav's tenure........ I hope that Felix's issues are not the tip of something serious.

Good thing they haven't really been paying attention to our games. Otherwise they would have tried to make Christian Jones ineligible.
my stomach hurts from laughing so hard

no you don't.

no you don't.
you just spent all this time posting very bad news.

.....as opposed to the false information you post (see: Papagiannis commit, lavin extension, et al.).

Guess what.... facts are a stubborn thing. The information regarding your pal "Lav's" recruitment of Kieth Thomas speak for themselves.

Would you rather believe that the NY Post made up the story of the StJohn's "employee' meeting the Westchester CC coach in the shopping center parking lot,to pick up the forged transcript, or that the "employee" was a member of the StJohn's admissions staff acting in their customary manner?

Tom.... It is time to put away your bell bottom pants and lava lamp and accept that Lavin is no longer the StJohn's men's basketball coach. Mullin is the StJohn's coach and the passing of time will demonstrate that your pal Lav failed to develop a program.

I heard the violation was that Felix found a $20 bill in CA that fell out of Abe Keita's wallet.

Anyone paying attention should know that a radical shift in power has already occurred in D1 sports. When the U of Missouri football team can force a change in leadership at their school on the threat of refusal to play (a $1 million payday for the school on just one game), we may soon see similar actions. If athletes conduct wildcat strikes to protest eligibility issues, especially for games with packed houses and big TV revenue, the NCAA will learn that the players indeed have power. A player's union? Maybe not a formal one, but there are organized forces who can pull all the strings.

Lol. I think the 4.0 in Anal Geom-Calc III gave it away that the transcript was a fake

Beast soap box humming :)

What a joke. Feel bad for Felix.

I also feel bad for Roy Williams and Rick Pitino. Oh wait, I forgot, they are allowed to participate.

If the first regular season game is any indication of who will get major minutes, neither Amar nor CJ got significant minutes. I suspect that Felix would not have gotten major minutes either, despite what some here were projecting for him.

didn't Christian play close to 30 minutes in the Wagner game?

Geez, you're right. I was there and wouldn't have guessed that he got those kind of minutes.

The NCAA has reinstated St. John's G Felix Balamou and he's eligible immediately

Very good news for the team and for Felix. He is a real good kid who deserves better. I have no doubt he will be well used in certain situations where his talents are most suited throughout the season.

they should trade his 35 minutes he used in 2013-14 against the past 2 games and give him a season back.
