Fairleigh Dickinson

I was very impressed with our ball movement, especially since we did not rush our offense. Our post guys knew where everyone was on the floor.
Confused as to why Pointer stayed in the game with four fouls. And why Jordan didn't get back in. This kind of game calls for more subsitutions. Maybe its me but can't understand Balamou's playing time last night. Does he ever take a shot?

Ball movement & spacing are much improved. Additionally Obekpa, although not an offensive force, is becoming adept at kicking ball out to open guys and hitting cutters. I'm actually finding it fun to watch compared to the nonsense we ran last year.

It is also fun to watch us play defense. Against good competition. Last night we weren't giving as much effort per usual against lesser teams on D but when we played Syracuse, the defense we played in those final 4 minutes was remarkable, it got overshadowed by the PG4 onslaught but it was amazing defense.
If Poiner and Obekpa stay out of foul trouble, especially CO, they can play aggressive all the way to the end. They both did a great job of staying in front of their men on Saturday, and when you have guards with decent size, which we do, it's not easy to just lob the ball over the top. Hence, all the steals at the end of the Cuse game.

You may be right Fun regarding Lavin's reason for giving Jordan less minutes. He may very well be trying to downplay Jordan's leap to the NBA. At the same time he could be encouraging his transferring next year.
No way Branch should be starting over Jordan. Some how I have to believe Lavin is teaching Jordan a lesson; hopefully it doesn't backfire.

I'm in the same camp as you guys with regard to Jordan. I agree Jack, I hope it doesn't backfire.

there was a play yesterday when Obekpa got it down low and didn't hold it for even a second and immediately threw a bullet back out to maybe it was green in the corner.

I thought to myself that damn it's fun to watch again

I was just setting my DVR for Sunday and I'm not seeing the Fordham game on Live tv... I'm just seeing some replays, the first being shown on fs1 in the evening. Does anyone know if it's being televised live? Thanks in advance

The improvement of OB and Pointer in receiving a pass near the foul line and then doing something productive with it has been tremendous . Last year the ball moved around the perimeter and ended up with a forced three point attempt.
Greene is taking shots with no defender within ten feet. Quite an improvement because of the ball movement created by OB and Pointer.
Their rebounding has also improved dramatically

I have not found a station that will be broadcasting the game in South Florida
Has any of my "comrades" found a channel for Sunday's game down here?

I think Lavin is teaching Jordan a lesson for sure. The lesson is "Stop turning the ball over."

I have no problem with Branch starting and closing the game until Jordan tightens up his turnovers

Agreed. The other speculation is nonsense. Jordan's minutes are actually up not down Lavin needs to win this season. Next season is desperate for other reasons but if Jordan was going to elevate the team he'd be getting all the minutes he could handle. He single handedly kept Syracuse in the game forcing and turning the ball over at key and random moments. If he wasn't turning the ball over with abandon and making rookie mistakes he'd have been starting without a doubt. If he's got any sense he gets that.

We're probably undefeated with a win against the 9th best team in the country if he cut his 9 turnovers against Gonzaga in half (and 4 or 5 turnovers is still too high of a number)

IOW Fox Sports Net not Fox Sports 1. Isn't that YES in NY?

I believe the game is on MSG locally.

FS 1 is channel 69 on Optimum. It's not MSG or YES.

I think this is a Fox Sports Net game, not an FS1 game. Last time it was listed as Fox Sports Net YES pickd it up locally, this time I think it's MSG. Saw it advertised during the Knicks game last night and my FIOS guide is currently showing it for MSG Sunday at 2:30.

This is where Jakarr killed us.

Just like Jakarr last year, it looks like Jordan is trying to do too much with the NBA in mind. It shows in his shot selection especially. No reason he shouldn't be starting on this team.
