Take FDU and the points. Remember, Lavin is coaching. That means an "educational" experience for his players.

Plenty of teaching moments for Amar & Myles since they are integral parts of our rotation.

Why not for Chris Jones also? We will definitely need someone to bang bodies down low when Dom or CO gets in foul trouble.

Appears to be in dog house.

Have you ever seen Jones "bang bodies down low" or anywhere? I think all of us would love to see Jones play with some passion. Someone previously mentioned the need for someone on staff punching him the face to get him motivated. Harsh but for a guy that is rumored to be freakishly athletic I have never seen it. He looks like he'd rather be picking flowers somewhere than battling for a rebound.

I can't argue with that. That may also translate to bad practice habits.

I don't think Amar has 1 rebound. But, I agree somebody is going to haveto step up and give Dom and CO some breathers. Its a long season.

Agreed on CJ's shortcomings. But we are simply going to have to find a way to get something out of him. Not much, but 5-7 minutes per game. Sometimes guys aren't what you want them to be (all the athleticism in the world but won't get after the basketball), and you have to figure a way to get out of them what you need. That's where we are with CJ. He has shown glimpses at times (Marquette home and Nova BET games his frosh year for sure) and there is a benefit that he knows how to play on offense.

The reality is CO will not be able to give us 38+ for 18 games in conference play. He's a much better player than Gift, but Gift was effective the first half of his first year (and not just against the lesser comp, i.e. @ Kentucky, @ Marquette) before wearing down after the constant mid to upper 30s minutes ask. Same will happen to CO if he's asked to do what he did against Syracuse 80% of nights from January on.

I'm starting to become a believer that this team can make up for a lot of things with it's guard play. But it will not be able to overcome a worn down CO. We need him to be able to do what he did against Syracuse in March, and that's going to take some creativity from the staff.

Interesting to see how Jordan responds to not starting again. Bring it Rysheed!

We need improvement switching off FDUs pick we most always loose their man

Do not like our start we should be posting up under neath more

PGIV, DLo, Sheed and Branch all having great games on offense. I haven't seen this team shoot this good since that Fordham game. You can tell the confidence is greatly increased after that last win.

Sheed looks like the player from the end of last year when he played his best ball. Making nice smart passes and hitting jumpers.

They showed Looie just before the half ended. Great to see he's in attendance following his surgery, but sad to see him looking frail. What an iconic figure, and how lucky are we to have had him as the face of our program.

If PGIV , Sheed and D-Lo can shoot like this the rest of the year and Branch can orchestrate we're going to be very good.

The only issue I have with Jordan is that he drives the lane sometimes with no idea what he want to do with the ball. Then he picks up his dribble and he's stuck in the middle of the paint looking for something to do with the ball.

It's nice to see them play well, I want to see them close this out early. Also coach didn't call a timeout yet right? Lol

Pointer! Every game with this guy. He has to act stupid.

Then thing about Pointer is he would do the same stupid thing if the game were tied with seconds left.

Agreed, that's what makes his actions even more unacceptable.
