50,000 -------------------empty seats-----------against the #2 team in college football. They are certainly not New Jersey's team.

Lafours, Met stadium holds over 80,000. So you see an attendance in the 30's on a perfect day against the #2 team as something to be proud of? Don't let the Organge door hit your arse on the way out of this site.
Today's the day to pick on the ACC? really?
Syracuse's football program has been disgusting lately, but we're losing Pitt and Syracuse; the programs that produced Tony Dorsett, Dan Marino, Jim Brown, and Mcnabb.... and we're replacing them with Boise and Temple?
That's not something I'm ready to brag about as a Big East fan.
(Not to mention WVU, who has a legitimate shot at a national title in their first season out of the BE, that would've been HUGE for this conference)

Don't get me wrong, the SU attendance at MetLife was bad, very bad. If we were getting made fun of by say, Alabama, or even Rutgers, that would be fair. It's just odd coming from SJU, who:
A. Doesn't have a football team(that I know of anyway)
B. Gets outnumbered 4:1 by Syracuse fans in their home arena.
But hey, if that's how you vent on losing 15(?) straight basketball(sorry to compare sports that we both actually play) games to us, well then have at it.

This was the biggest game of the year and they did not have the following...in football.....that was advertised. Good luck in the ACC....you will need plenty of it.

If Syracuse Football so "irrelevant", why did you start a thread(linked below, it hit 3 pages) about our game with Northwestern?(again, there is no football relation between the schools) From the thread below you wrote this: "nice to see these traitors lose opener in dome"...so you were watching, which shows "relevance", no?

This is a monumental day in Big East history. ND leaves, SJU, Georgetown, Nova have been mentioned as potential 16th teams, and Calhoun retired. I thought I would come and see others' thoughts. Isn't that the idea of a message board? Of course you guys are talking about Syracuse's football attendance when you don't have a football team. Makes sense.

When Cuse fans talk about our lack of attendance compared to theirs, why does no one ever bring up the sheer numbers? Cuse has like 30,000 people aka DOUBLE St. John's and that's all campuses combined. Right off the bat of course they will outnumber us 2:1 even if everyone packs the venue. The other part is the alumni base. Cuse has a MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger alumni base obviously because they have double our enrollment. If St. John's was a 30k student school I guarantee you would see the garden a lot more full.
