Fact of the matter is that the SJU athletic department sucks. In almost every facet. A total house cleaning is needed and I am glad to see that the GEMP is recognizing that. Sounds like Oliva will not be permanent AD, and if the Gemp's mission was to save $$ he would've made him the permanent AD.
Foolish, foolish post. Almost a year since Monasch out and radio silence on the direction of a new AD. No search committee, no meeting about a new one, nothing. It's blatantly clear that the new aloof President's mission to save money or else a search committee or a search firm would have been hired already. A lot cheaper to tag the interim tag on someone, and let it sit there for a while, like it is now. New coach, no new AD, its terrible, terrible administrative management, but hey, that's St. John's for ya.
The fact that you refer to one person leaving as a "total house cleaning" is comical.
Also, it's comical that you of all people have something to say and perhaps an agenda against someone who was involved with institutional advancement and fundraising. LOL. Coming from the one guy on this board who is always looking for free handouts. Makes sense. The irony.
Don't let facts get in the way of a good story. The Gemp got rid of/bought out the head basketball coach, AD and our lead SID (who I happened to like) who was a major figure in the athletic department. Those are major changes that I would say is a pretty considerable house cleaning. As for the shot you took, I pay for about 80% of my tickets i'd say, but don't let facts get in the way of a good story or message board shot. Even for free tickets, theres a considerable difference between that and getting a job in the way Kull got his. And hey, that's not even Ed's fault. This is more a notice of the corrupt nature that the school was ran under "Father" Harrington.
