Rothstein just mentioned Polee as a key element in the unbelievable comeback by San Diego St. just now with his defensive role in the 1-3-1 that Steve Fisher went to in desperation down 41-25 with 12:03 left. They held New Mexico to 4 points in the next 12 minutes, New Mexico hit a 3 with no time left to at least get me the cover as they lost 51-48. :woohoo:

BTW Polee was terrific. Looked like Dom on defense when he is at his best. San Diego State suffocated them with a 1-3-1 match up zone with Polee at the top. He killed them and was all over the court.

Do you ever venture outside the confines of the BE? :unsure: No they are not on the bubble but how can you offer an informed opinion about St. John's chances if you don't know anything about or even who else is on the bubble?

Call me stupid. Sorry. My point went more toward why are we following every mention of Polee unless it affects St. John's. I'll try to to get up to speed to keep up with your in depth knowledge.

Wow, talk about rude and uncalled for. Don't see how nasty comments like this have any place on these boards.
 
I watched this game to the end. I was incredulous how New Mexico could nor devise even 1 play to negate the Aztecs Zone.The Lobos just collapsed. Credit to Fisher who flat outcoached NEAL of New Mexico.

Agree Polee made a defensive contribution.. Pondered if he or Garrett might have been better choices to keep than Pointer? Who has played poorly this season.
 
Agree with Polee comments. As for our chances, the collapse of UNLV and Boise pretty much guarantees that the MWC will only get two teams in. Last year they got five bids. The MWC championship game should be SD St. and NM and it should be worth watching.

Just our luck will be to play san diego state in tourney and lose because of Polee, a former player

And I still wouldn't have any regrets about him leaving.
 
They went to some 1-3-1 with Polee at the top in 2010-2011. He looked great then too.

I think we could beat SDSU.
