Dom may be the key

32 min. 8 pts,, 11 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 assists, and a level of intensity that lifts the rest of the team.

If he brings that intensity., he can produce a stat line at least close to that every game… no one's got an answer for him.

3 pt. shooting comes and goes (mostly goes for us), even foul shooting can become a problem… but effort can be there every night.

Agreed, and not to mention one of the highlight blocks of the year. Minnesota had a three on one and Harrison just tried to slow them down, which worked because of Dom's hustle on that play. Great job by him.

They don;t call him COSTCO for nothing! :)

I believe Dom will play in the NBA! He has all the qualities needed to compete at the next level. Frankly it will be up to him as to whether he makes the commitment!

I don't believe this team has just one key. I think to a certain extent, each starter must elevate their game for us to be competitive, and two bench players must emerge to be reliable contributors. With a razor thin front line and a shallow bench, our best players have to stay out of foul trouble as well in order for us to do damage. So Dom IS a key, and he has to bring consistency to his efforts, but there are many things that have to break right.

Yes, many things.

I agree Beast, but I also think that we need one more guy off the bench to be a contributor. We need an eight man rotation. I think that player needs to be Amar Albigovic because of his size. I thought ADR might become that guy as the season went on but it doesn't seem like he will play at all this season. I would like to see Albigovic get some light in this Gonzaga game because of the height that they have, Even if it's just for a couple of minutes. Let's see what he can do.

I like 8 man rotations and it would be great if Amar emerged. The European skillset of players are often solid fundamentally, which is something we are all hoping for in this kid. Maybe beyond just players emerging as keys to this team the ball movement we exhibited in the half court offense vs. Minnesota hopefully becomes a continually improving staple and not a mirage.

The Sean Evans Rule needs to be in place less dribbling with him in traffic that is my only problem with him

Running up court with the ball in his hands is worth the price of admission. It's one of his best qualities.

There is no "may" about it. Dom Pointer is the biggest X factor in the entire country. He is one of the highest ranked players left from the 2011 class, he is one of the best athletes in the country, we have the greatest need at the four of any high major, and he is wildly inconsistent.

He is capable of changing any game at any moment for better or worse.

He had a two minute sequence against Minnesota where he slammed a missed shot, ran back and stupidly committed offensive goaltending, ran back for an amazing block, stole the ball and put up the sports center #1 play of the night with his dunk, ran back and stupidly fouled a Minny guard to out them on the line and in the bonus with a touch foul.

When that kid is having one of those games, we are very tough to beat.

That right there is Dom in a paragraph. He will have the best plays and the worst plays in sequence with each other and we have to expect that from him. I'll take it because his energy lifts this team.

I think he could have flattened any defender who tried to tackle him when he flew up court.

_Yes I said that several weeks ago that he has next level skills

I can't wait to hear what people will say when he has a couple of dog games in a row. Maybe he won't but he was dragged through the mud on here last year.

And deservedly so. Last year he didn't have a great year nor make the next step in development most were anticipating. So far this year he has.

Really Myles Stewart? You think you are good enough to stare at your missed three while Sabonis runs down for an uncontested dunk?

Harrison is doing the best job on Sabonis. What heart....great box out.
