Depaul

Don't care an iota abut Cuse. Let's sweep DePaul as we have them on the schedule twice. It's much more important to do that.

we're a twisted ankle or a couple of quick whistles away from losing to anybody.

+1. We've been extremely fortunate this year.

+10,000 This is spot on. I've only seen posters allude to it here and there, but really this is the key to our second half. The kids will continue to get more comfortable and the game will slow down for them, we'll be inconsistent, no doubt, but it should be fun when it's not frustrating.

That said - it all goes out the window if just one guy goes down with a bad ankle. It's remarkable how fortunate we've been this year.

they had a lot of similar problems that SJU did at the turn of the century. Antiquated practice / training facilities, poor coaching hires, and a large arena away from Campus.
Ya think being in the middle of B10 country hurts em?

I think this is an important game for their season and so called momentum off the past three games. Lose, and they will still have lost 6 of 7, and 8 of 10 heading into the Syracuse game. It will be hard to say this has been a good run if after Saturday they've lost 8 of 9, and 10 of 12. If they want a chance of a respectable finish, tomorrow must be a win.

Poor hires, poor hires poor hires... Purnell is a reasonably good hire, but DePaul needs somebody that can capture Chicago basketball. They're still a more regional program than SJU is. SJU still has greater national appeal due to NYC, MSG etc., DePaul needs a guy that can captivate on the recruiting trail in the Midwest, and steal recruits from Xavier, Dayton as well as kids that might head to Illinois, Michigan state etc... Not easy for DePaul, but Purnell, while a decent coach, isn't going to win the wars for recruits in the Midwest. If Matta and his successors were able to be successful at Xavier, the right coach could be at DePaul.

We beat Cincy on the road, now let's beat DePaul on the road and move on.

Contain Cleveland Melvin, their only good player, let Jeremiah Kelly hoist threes from 25+ feet and we'll be okay.

We got robbed against DePaul in the NCAAs, I think the game was in Denver, I remember, watching it on T.V. wanting to throw something through the tube (no flat screens yet).

Wasn't Marco Baldi on our team back then?

The game was at the Horizon is Rosemount, their Home Court and we were robbed. Top 5 most painful. Mark's last game.

AND, they share St John's history of being run by an order whose penny pinching has been raised to the level of divine edict, minus a Mike Repole!
