At least they are not playing in that dump ALL State Arena...what a house of horrors that place was to SJU over the years! Always ice cold as they also had a minor league hockey team there, locker rooms were brutal, fans were obnoxious. The only good thing was O'Hare was across the street to get the hell out of there quickly after an L.

Let down spots of all let down spots. Traveling to a chronic bottom dweller with one less day of rest sandwiched between MSG games vs the 2nd place team in the league and the two time defending national champion.

Think we open in the -12 range
I never take any game for granted so this one has me concerned. I know our fans say Pitino won't let them suffer a let down but even miracle Rick will sometimes lose to Mother Nature. Was gonna post trap game let down vs Nova but didn't but this is another such case as DePaul was able to beat Uconn at home so we need to stay vigilant.

Depaul did not beat UCONN. That was Seton Hall.

Depaul's two Big East wins are @Georgetown and home vs. Seton Hall.

Oops brain cramp probably because I can't believe this year's SH beat anyone but my point still stands if the Hall can do it DePaul can do it (hey that rhymes I'm a poet).

BTW Harry Carry's was a great restaurant at one time! When Lou was coaching, he asked Dennis Myron and I to arrange a private team dinner there in the upstairs suite area. Harry came and had a few pops with Lou and said hello to the team!
We were there on St. Patrick's Day one year for an NCAA game with JR, Ray Lipinsky and Dennis. Supposed to meet Ed Manetta there. Who thought it was a good idea to drive downtown. On St. Patrick's Day. In Chicago. Needless to say, Ed did not make it.

Was it as good as Diamond Lil’s in Salt Lake City where we went at the suggestion of Frank Layden?
