My son goes to Northridge. I forgot they had a D1 basketball team.

The timing seemed odd but I just checked and the Big West only invites 8 of it's 9 teams to the conference tourney. CSUN was 9th.

That format is a recipe for firing at least one coach per year. Didn't Theus fail somewhere else?

SOURCES: Memphis is seriously considering replacing Tubby Smith with Penny Hardaway, who is “actively preparing to be a college head coach” and already identifying possible staff members — among them Hall of Fame coach Larry Brow

On Monday, Larry Brown agreed to be Penny Hardaway's assistant IF Penny were to get the job at Memphis. He resigned from that agreement on Tuesday. Reports say he may or may not have committed violations during those 48 hours.

His initial HC job -- two years at New Mexico State -- was successful (41-23, one NCAA appearance). He left to take the Kings job.

And his point guard was our own whoremonger, Elijah Ingram.

I did, sadly, but chose not to acknowledge that I did.

Yep it's official. Should be interesting to see where UConn turns to next. They have deep pockets, but not sure how much of a destination they are looked upon at this point, especially playing in the AAC.

Being from CT fans want to hire Hurley. They fired Ollie using the pending NCAA investigation as the reason. Who wants to go to a school with an investigation. Sid Wilson must really love his transfer decision now.
