Solenopsis Invicta

(more Lav's style)

from the Wiki:
"The red imported fire ant (Solenopsis invicta), or simply RIFA, is one of over 280 species in the widespread genus Solenopsis. Although the red imported fire ant is native to South America,[2] it has become a pest in the southern United States,[2] Australia,[2] the Caribbean,[2] Taiwan,[2] Hong Kong,[2] the southern Chinese provinces of Guangdong,[3] Guangxi and Fujian, and Macau,[2] RIFAs are known to give a painful, persistently irritating sting that often leaves a pustule on the skin.[4]"

a pest...irritating stings on skin (hard fouls?)...small but fierce....

word:

our defense is Solenopsis Invicta. :)

I think this one gets my vote. Plus it's so weird that ESPN will have to run a graphic with the definition. :cheer:

Ole

Because that seems to be our defense far too often.

Defense played well enough to win last night.

And there was a nice stretch early in the 2nd half where Zags came down the floor 2 times in a row and the defenders let them run right by them. It was during that stretch lead ballooned.

Looking at the box score we had no business losing by such a small margin. Credit to them for fighting back but we continue to play lackadaisical frustrating ball.

You wont get any argument from me there but we did hold the 4th highest scoring team in the nation who was coming in scoring 93 ppg to 73 pts.

We did. And I don't want to take anything away from the outcome last night. But I can't accept people telling me this team plays great defense when far too often that Ole defense either leads to easy layups, a block attempt or good ole goal tend. (Though shockingly the only goal tend I remember last night was Sheed on the offensive end).

We just muck it up with whoever we play.
