@Creighton, Wed. Jan. 3, 8p, FS1/570AM

I have seen Creighton play a few times this year
They are very good, especially at home
Talk about a home court advantage - 17,000 loud and strong at virtually every game
With our without Ponds and Lovett, this is going to be a toughie for us
I initially had reservations about the Big East expanding to the midwest
But the additions of Creighton, Xavier and Butler have been great for our conference
Even though some of our opponents have changed, we still have great league battles every night

Totally agree with MarkRedman's comments re Creighton, Butler and Xavier joining the big east. Their fan support makes one jealous but their ability to compete is even more surprising to me. If SJU continues to improve and Georgetown gets it going this league is going to get better and better.

The new BE really exceeded expectations. Nova has emerged as an elite team w Xavier not far behind. Would love to see us in the upper echelon.

Early spread I'm seeing has St. John's as a 12-point underdog tomorrow night at Creighton. #sjubb

Justin Simon: “Those are probably two of the top guards in the Big East. It hurts to not have them out there. Our game has to be taken to a higher level [without them]. We talk about everyone their their game to the next step. We have to go out and bring it.” #sjubb

Echoing the thoughts above, Creighton may have the best homecourt advantage in the conference. Definitely want to do the trip out there sometime.

i am expecting a barrage of three pointers from Creighton

Thinking I'll be watching the Ranger game mostly, and tune in to the SJU occasionally.

I know injuries isn't Mullin's fault, but just tired of the "every year it's something" bs.

It has been "every year it's something " for too long and you get that what' s happening now feeling whenever you sign on but the fact is everything is on the upswing. Mullin is completing his third year after starting out with a barren roster and it looks at this time that next season SJU will compete for the upper echelon of a very strong league and will have a roster that can afford to lose a player or two and still compete.
In fact with the progress of Owens and Clark and if the guards ever get back on the court this team will not be an easy out in the big east tournament.

Hard to argue with that. No more excuses next year in my book, regardless of whether Ponds and/or Lovett return. But let's worry about this season first, a lot more ball to be played.

Great news to get confirmation he is healthy. Super tough game tonight, hope to see us compete the way we did on Sunday. If we do, who knows? Maybe Creighton is cold from three; we are due for that to happen!

Ahmed back to back 3s, but the 3 point defense is lacking so far. Down 2. We can't let them go off from 3.

That's it BA take it to the rack. Some fan in the crowd screaming like a madman lol
