Creighton, Tue. Jan. 23, 8:30p, FS1/970AM

Tomorrow will be our first conference win. Creighton lost their center, Krampelj for the season. Have to stop Foster, Thomas and Hegner, Harrell shouldn't have the same game he had back home in Omaha. Put pressure on their point guard, Mintz.

On paper we should squeak out a win. Off paper it will be another coaching test for Mullin against coaches that are taller than him. ;)

This team will win tomorrow night.

Creighton is currently a four point favorite.

I will be there in my regular spot rooting like hell for us to pull this one out,

The guys really deserve to finally get one.

Hopefully this will be our time to get that long awaited first conference win.

NY Post has Creighton as a 3pt fave. I am optimistic every game and we have the ability to win each time. I will watch without much in terms of expectations though.

The ESPN app started it at 3, but the line is now up to 4.

Wouldn't expect it to be too high. It was close game out there, and Creighton has since lost their starting center.

I do give us a chance tonight, but my one fear the rest of the way, is that the one thing we are good at is finding a way to lose.

Get them in foul territory early and equalize the men advantage.

Has anyone thought of the possibility that we could not win a game in conf. I know this is a dark projection and I would like to see us put a string of consecutive wins together,
like 8 in a row. But , have a hard time seeing us capable beating anyone . But it would sure be a pleasant and welcome surprise if we win.

The big east has developed into such a high level and competitive league that we have the possibility of SJU going the rest of the season without a win and in the near future the league looks like it will be more balanced with the bottom three, SJU, Geo and DeP improving and the four Midwestern schools and Prov looking very solid with Vill on a petestal. Seton Hall is probably a question mark. A team that falls back for whatever reasons faces the same possible end of season run as SJU.
Would it make sense to start the league season a week earlier than now playing two games in Dec.and allowing teams to play two games during the league season vs non league and easier competition. Duke doesn't fall into this category. Sounds like a sneaky way out to avoid long losing streaks and I don't now if any league does it or if Fox would allow it but not many league have this type of balance. I imagine Mullin would be for it this year.

We have the height advantage, start with an easy hoop, and have settled for jumpers since.

KY probably will not play with a sprained ankle.

Clark with 2 fouls, see you in the second half.
