Massive game. I’m super excited for it. Ready to give these guys some payback. Deivon is a huge piece with our short bench, need him back.

If we continue to not play well in his absence, than the NCAA Tournament committee could hold it against us.

Not in terms of getting in the Tournament (provided we beat DePaul and Seton Hall - that should be enough), but maybe in terms of seeding.

this isn't just a must-win—it's a must-not-lose, a line-in-the-sand moment for this team. After the gut-punch loss to Villanova, St. John's needs to come out with fire, urgency, and a point to prove. Creighton is walking into the Garden at the wrong time because we cannot—will not—let another opportunity slip. This game is about making a statement: that the loss was a blip, not a trend, and that this team is still a force to be reckoned with. Time to defend home court, get back on track, and show everyone we’re still a powerhouse.
 
Potential positive with Glover in this game is that Creighton has that collection of guys they always seem to have who are big, long and shoot 3s, but do nothing on defense by way of ball pressure. And those are the guys I think would be matching up with Glover and Ayo. Because they have Ashworth chasing one of the guards and Neal usually guards the other teams best wing creator/scorer.

Also against Marquette they had Kalk guard Steve Mitchell for a good chunk.

Oh crap….. the season was too good to be true and Smith was a big part of that. Without Smith, we have no offensive output from our bench at all and our fast paced game will become non existent.
Beating Creighton, UConn and Marquette will be a tall task for this team. Oh crap.

Agree, not saying they will not rise to the task but the task becomes tougher unless we get a lift from our bench.

I totally agree. Lavin without Kennedy we were screwed. I just think Pitino is +10 points minimum for any team.

He can make an average team top notch. If Smith is lost ( my gut thinks not ) I just think he has enough time to have our guys still believing anything is possible and belief in yourself can be better than talent
