CR Green, Get Well!

Read on johnnyjungle.com CR Green's news that he's been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Needless to say, he's facing the battle of his life, and I just want to take this opportunity to wish him the very best. He hasn't been a contributor to redmen.com for a very long time -- and, good God, he's even a self-admitted UCLA fan! -- but he's made his mark as a respected, informative, and insightful poster, especially about Coach Lavin, always classy and never full of himself.

CR, here's hoping you, like Coach Lavin, come out on top in your fight, and that you'll continue to be with us for many, many years to come.

It doesnt matter that you are UCLA fan. I have family that roots for UCLA......for what it is... CR. get well soon! you gotta fight! and Fight hard!

Good luck to you and a speedy recovery.

On a side note, I find your posts way too short and lacking in both detail and historical perspective, so maybe you can work on that when you're back at full speed.

 CR

Sincere best wishes.

I am sure that I speak for your entire St.John's family when I say they we hope you get better so you can attend the 2015 National Championship game involving your 2 teams: St. John's and the UCLA Bruins. Get well.

One of my friends has just successfully recovered from stomach cancer. You'll beat it, CR. You will be in my daily prayers.

CR, I know that you know that this is all part of life and that after the darkest of days there will be sunshine (in your case California sunshine). I've been there and sympathize with you and wish you the best and look forward to your insights once the season begings. Please post here on redmen more once you feel better. Peace Brother!!

Plenty of prayers coming your way CR. I know you've got all your favorable stats lined up thanks to the early detection. We've got you covered, and await your return to both boards :)

Sorry about the news, and wishing a very speedy and full recovery to cr green.

I agree wholehardedly with the OP. CRG is of the best and classiest posters on these sites.
Here's hoping for the best.

First chance I've had to acknowledge this thread - spent the day getting a feeding tube implanted, they 8 hrs of Chemo (FUN!).

All the thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. I hadn't intended to bring my problems to the boards, but started noticing the tone in a few of my recent posts has been a tad, shall we say, bi-polar. I try not to be negative in posting, but the last couple weeks I'd been noticing some external situations impacting some of my responses (I find I'm hitting submit before I have a chance to calm down and temper some comments). So I mentioned it just so you might allow me a mulligan or two if I slip up in posting the next couple months.

I continue to be impressed by the quality of fans on the St. Johns boards and the obvious love of college basketball that your school has nurtured in its fans - it makes it a joy to have Redmen and JJ to look forward to every day as I go thru this.  (I'm afraid there are going to be days I don't have the strength to deal with the negativity of my UCLA brethren on those boards - one "bi-polar" day and I may end up banned over there!) Man, hoops season can't get here fast enuf!

Once again, my sincere thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

CR, --remember that you are a winner. You have the character and tenacity to come out on top.

You will have a ton of Lavin years ahead of you to enjoy . Talk about incentives !

Remember, one day at a time and focus on all the good stuff.

Everything good,

Allnet
